    摘要: The invention disclosed concerns a method of forming dichromatic copy images. An electrostatic latent image having a first image portion and a second image portion is formed. The first image portion is developed by a first magnetic brush developing device using at least a magnetic toner of first color triboelectrically chargeable to a specific polarity. The second image portion is developed by a second magnetic brush developing device using a mixture of a magnetic carrier substantially not triboelectrically chargeable with the magnetic toner and a non-magnetic toner of a second color triboelectrically chargeable to a polarity opposite to that of the magnetic toner by contact with the magnetic carrier.

    摘要: A bias circuit for use in the single-ended push-pull circuit has NPN and PNP transistors whose emitters are connected to each other and whose collectors provide a bias voltage, diodes and resistance elements. On the operating side, the diode gives a reference voltage and the resistance element detects the voltage corresponding to the increase of the output voltage exceeding the reference voltage. Simultaneously, on the unoperating side, the diode decreases the voltage between its both terminals. Thus the bias voltage is made larger, by positive feedback operation on the operating side and by negative feedback operation on the unoperating side, enough to prevent output power transistor on the unoperating side from being cut off.

    摘要: An electrophotographic process including the step of pre-exposing the surface of a photosensitive member to light at an exposure of no less than 10.sup.3 lx-sec, followed by the uniform charging of the same. The photosensitivity of this type photosensitive member in an image exposing step varies according to its prior history. This process further includes the step of exposing an image by projecting an optical image, corresponding to an original image, onto the photosensitive member thus charged for forming a clear electrostatic latent image, corresponding to the original image, on the surface of the photosensitive member.

    摘要: A cylinder head including a tubular port liner made of a heat resistant metal, with an annular space interposed between the liner and the wall of a cavity in the cylinder head, whereby the heat to be transmitted from exhaust gases to the cylinder head is insulated by the annular space defined between the port liner and the wall of a cavity in the cylinder head. This tubular port liner is secured or embedded into the cylinder head itself at its one end on the side of a combustion chamber according to the so-called "insert" casting technique and flared at the other end on the side of an exhaust pipe so as to provide an intimate contact between the wall of a cavity in the cylinder head and the liner. The tubular port liner is formed on its lower part with a built-up, beaded portion which is fitted in a corresponding concave portion in the wall of the cavity in the cylinder head for preventing shifting of the liner due to thermal expansion or contraction.

    摘要: An image transmission means for employment in a photocopying machine wherein a document to be copied is scanned and image-wise light reflected therefrom is directed onto a photosensitive medium which is moved at a speed equal or proportional to the document scanning speed. The image transmission means comprises an image-transmitting light-conducting fiber array which transmits image light reflected from a document onto a photosensitive medium, and is so mounted that photosensitive medium portions which are less exposed due to characteristic variation in light transmission efficiency of different portions of the fiber array are disposed longitudinally with respect to the document image. Illumination of a document is provided by one or two tubular alternating current fluorescent lamps which are actuated to provide illumination which varies at a frequency and to a proportion that are selected with reference to the characteristic variations of different portions of the light-conducting fiber array. On the photosensitive medium, and hence on a subsequently produced document copy, variations due to alternation of document illumination occur transversely with respect to the image of the scanned document; that is at right-angles to the variations due to light-conducting fiber array characteristics. There is thus produced an image constituted by mesh portions.

    摘要: A pulley support structure for a belt-drive continuously variable transmission and a belt-drive continuously variable transmission are provided that are able to control the occurrence of Mindlin slip itself, and in cases where Mindlin slip has occurred, are able to effectively reduce the effects thereof. The rolling element surface hardness is HRc 60 or greater, and is at least 1 HRc harder than that of the raceway surfaces. The surface of the rolling element is nitrided or carbonitrided, and the nitrogen concentration in the surface is 0.2% by mass or greater and 2.0% by mass or less. Radial direction gap in the various roller bearings during use is −30 μm or greater and 10 μm or less.
