Abstract:
The present invention relates to processes for preparing biaryl ureas derivatives and analogs thereof. The invention also provides compounds useful as intermediates in the processes of the present invention. The process is useful for preparing compounds that inhibit IMPDH.
Abstract:
An interactive, autostereoscopic system for displaying an object in 3D includes a mirror configured to spin around a vertical axis when actuated by a motor, a high speed video projector, and a processing system including a graphics card interfaced to the video projector. An anisotropic reflector is bonded onto an inclined surface of the mirror. The video projector projects video signals of the object from the projector onto the inclined surface of the mirror while the mirror is spinning, so that light rays representing the video signals are redirected toward a field of view of a 360 degree range. The processing system renders the redirected light rays so as to interactively generate a horizontal-parallax 3D display of the object. Vertical parallax can be included in the display by adjusting vertically the displayed views of the object, in response to tracking of viewer motion by a tracking system.
Abstract:
An integrated circuit is operable to execute boot loader code and a boot code from external memory. To provide security so that the CPU does not execute malicious codes, the circuit resets in a restricted mode in which only certain functional units may be connected. In the restricted mode the CPU is only able to fetch boot code from an external memory for transfer to an internal memory. A hash function operates on the fetched boot code to determine whether it is authentic and, if it is determined that the code is authentic the circuit is reset to an unrestricted mode to continue executing from the boot code now stored in the internal memory. Further security is provided by a watchdog timer function which resets the circuit if the boot code is not determined to be authentic within a threshold period of time.
Abstract:
A dispenser unit adapted for single use and preferably secured to a wall with a reusable wall plate. The dispensing unit is preferably an assembled unit which, as a unit, is mountable to and removable from the mounting plate, preferably with the assembled dispensing unit being separately functional and the mounting plate is preferably required merely for mounting of the dispensing unit to the wall.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for the integration of drug dispersion methods into a drug or medicine delivery system. The drug dispersion methods used include shear (e.g., air across a drug, with or without a gas assist), capillary flow or a venturi effect, mechanical means such as spinning, vibration, or impaction, and turbulence (e.g., using mesh screens, or restrictions in the air path). These methods of drug dispersion allow for all of the drug in the system to be released, allowing control of the dosage size. These methods also provide for drug metering, fluidization, entrainment, deaggragation and deagglomeration. The present invention also provides for the integration of a drug sealing system into the device. The drug sealing system provides a way of blocking the migration of drug from one area of the package to another. The drug seal system can also provide a method of tightly containing the drug until the package is opened, of directing airflow through the package and of managing and containing the drug during the package/device manufacturing process.
Abstract:
A method, system and program of generating a chronicle of search terms used in a network environment of a community are provided. A term is received from a user in a current search. The term is matched in a search chronicle, wherein the search chronicle is a database comprising a plurality of search terms associated with a search originator. The search chronicle results are then provided to the user.
Abstract:
A garment registration system enabling garments, such as dresses, to be registered with an event attendee to reduce the likelihood of two or more event attendees wearing an identical dress to the same event. The garment registration system may be available for viewing over the Internet or other appropriate communication system. The garment registration system may include a garment registration module configured to enable a garment to be registered in connection with an event and an event attendee. The garment registration system may also include a garment search module enabling an event attendee or other person to search the garment registration module to determine whether another event attendee is planning to wear a same garment to the event. The garment registration system may also include an event registration module that enables events to be registered to the system and an event search module enabling registered events to be searched.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for use with program overlays, wherein code segments, along with data segments pertaining to the code segments, are transferred into a receiving memory segment. Program code is separated into common code and overlay code. The overlay code is then broken down into segments according to functionality, and the need to create segments that will fit into a receiving memory segment. An overlay control file is created for each segment, then a wrapper file. Linker command files are created for the common area and code area. The wrapper files and linker command files are used to create a common image file for the code/data. The common image is used to produce overlay sections, which are then concatenated together into one file. This one file is then loaded into memory for transfer of the overlays to a receiving memory area.
Abstract:
A piston pump for dispensing foam by simultaneously dispensing air and liquid through a foam generator and in which air to be dispensed is drawn into a chamber from which it is to be dispensed, at least in part, through an air inlet passageway which is different than a flow path out which foam is dispensed. A lost link valve arrangement provides for relative motion to open the air inlet passageway when air is drawn into the chamber and to close the air inlet passageway when air is forced out of the chamber to a dispensing outlet. Preferably, the lost link valve arrangement is provided by a piston carrying an actuator member coaxially slidable thereon to selectively open and close the air inlet passageway.
Abstract:
A fishing lure is generally provided that incorporates a hook stabilizing device that substantially holds the hook in place without allowing rotation of the hook while the lure is being fished. The hook stabilizing device is configured to accept the connection a fishing line to a hook, such as a crimp connection to an eyelet of a hook. Rotation of the hook may be allowed after a fish is hooked when the connection of the line to the hook is removed from the hook stabilizing device while fighting the hooked fish.
