摘要： A system for managing the operation of a plurality of radio modems contained within the same wireless communication device. The radio modems may be managed so that simultaneous communication involving two or more radio modems utilizing conflicting wireless communication mediums may be avoided. More specifically, a multiradio controller may identify when scheduled communication time in a radio modem using a more dominant, or high priority, wireless communication medium will in actually go unused, and may reallocate some or all of the now available scheduled time to radio modems using a lower priority wireless communication medium that have messages to transact.

摘要： An apparatus for short-range wireless communications includes a transceiver configured to operate different modes. Each of these modes corresponds to a particular wireless link type. In addition, the apparatus includes a controller for selectively activating one of the operational modes of the transceiver. The controller sends one or more operational parameters to components within transmitter and receiver portions of the transceiver, such as filters, amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, and digital-to-analog converters. Such parameters control the operational characteristics of these components.

摘要： A wireless communications device detects a change in its residual energy status, and transmits the residual energy status across a wireless communications network to a remote device that coordinates communications in the wireless communications network. For example, the remote device may be a piconet coordinator (PNC) in an IEEE 802.15.3 network, or a master device in a Bluetooth network. A wireless communications device that coordinates communications in a wireless communications network (the coordinator) transmits one or more first handover commands to one or more remote devices upon the occurrence of a triggering event. Based on responses to these first commands, the coordinator selects a remote device for coordinating future communications in the wireless communications network.

摘要： The method disclosed gives the user rapid notice of those Bluetooth devices within communication range, and yet it selectively blocks any notice about Bluetooth devices that the user wishes to ignore. Bluetooth server devices can indicate to the user's Bluetooth client device the service the server device has available by sending service/device icon information to Bluetooth client device. This information can be a value in the class-of-device (CoD) field of a frequency hop synchronization (FHS) packet that it sends during the process of exchanging inquiry and paging packets with the Bluetooth client device. If the server device has begun by transmitting an inquiry packet, then the CoD value will be sent in its paging packet. If the server device is responding to an inquiry, then its CoD value will be in its inquiry response packet. Alternately, the service/device icon information can be sent after a connection has been made with the client device, as part of a Service Discovery Protocol (SDP) response packet.
