    摘要: An imaging system. An array of light sources and an array of lenses corresponding to the light sources and having optical axes substantially parallel to one another are provided. The lenses produce collimated output beams. An afocal optical relay having an optical axis substantially parallel to the optical axes of the lenses is also included, the array of lenses being positioned relative to the afocal optical relay so as to form an optical system that produces an image of each collimated output beam on an image plane, each image having a prescribed depth of focus and spot size. The light sources preferably are lasers producing an array of respective laser beams having high intensity and a long waist. A system for writing information on a light-sensitive label includes the imaging system. Methods of imaging and of writing information on a light-sensitive label are also provided.

    摘要: A system and method for remotely controlling an increased number of subsystems having an onboard locomotive control unit (LCU) and two associated operator control units (OCUs) on a single wireless channel. A time slot is assigned to each subsystem for making two-way transmissions to control the locomotive. A signal from an external timing source synchronizes each subsystem to minimize interference between transmissions from different subsystems. Time slots are assigned manually or automatically over a wireless network or by the LCU after monitoring the channel. The LCU automatically selects the direct or repeater transmission path depending upon whether or not it receives polling message responses from its associated OCUs. A GPS receiver in each subsystem receives the synchronization signal and provides geographic positioning data so the LCU can determine when to execute predefined, position-based commands. The secondary OCU may be turned off and rejoined to the subsystem without ceasing operation.

    摘要: Methods of reducing interference in wireless communications in a communications system are provided. A wireless communications signal is received within a frequency band. The wireless communications signal includes a desired component and an undesired interference component. The interference component may be caused by, for example, communications by another component of the communications system using frequencies in the frequency band. The received communications signal is converted to a frequency domain representation. Frequencies of the interference component of the frequency domain signal are identified. At least some of the identified frequencies of the interference component of the frequency domain signal are attenuated to generate an interference attenuated frequency domain signal. The interference attenuated frequency domain signal is converted to an interference attenuated time domain signal.

    摘要: A tool caddy comprises a rigid bucket and a non-rigid tool organizer. The bucket comprises a bottom support portion, with vertical walls extending upwardly therefrom, forming front, back and side faces and defining a bucket interior, and an upper rim. The bucket further comprises at least two wheels and a retractable arm with a handgrip. The arm is extendable between a fully extended position and a fully retracted position and is attached to the bucket at the back face thereof. The bucket also has a sheath, integral with the back face of the bucket and giving rise to a receptacle adapted for slidingly receiving the arm. The tool organizer comprises exterior flaps adapted to cover outward faces of the bucket and interior flaps adapted to cover interior faces of the bucket. The exterior flaps are of sufficient length to substantially cover at least the entire front face of the bucket and is formed so as to not interfere with the operation of the wheels. The tool organizer also has contrivances, disposed on the flaps, for retaining various articles.
