摘要: A vehicle container holder includes a bottomless container retention section and a mounting section. The container retention section defines a container axis along which a container is received and rested upon the vehicle interior component. The mounting portion of the container holder slips behind a vehicle component adjacent a vehicle floor or includes a multiple of pins to penetrate into a carpeted panel along the vehicle transmission tunnel. The container holder utilizes the vehicle floor as the bottom support for the retained container. Such a bottomless design provides greater ability to handle a range of container sizes and provides a greater range of adjustment/variance with respect to vehicle designs while simplifying manufacturing.

摘要: A method, apparatus and system extend a mobile home agent functionality to enable mobile nodes to use private address to correspond with nodes having public addresses. Specifically, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a home agent may be configured to assign a private address to a mobile node according to predetermined policies. In one embodiment, the packets from the mobile node may be destined for other mobile nodes that belong to the same administrative domain as the home agent. If so, the home agent may decapsulate and forward the packet directly to the destination mobile node. In an alternate embodiment, the packets from the mobile node may be destined for mobile nodes belonging to a different administrative domain than the home agent. If so, the home agent may decapsulate and perform address and port translation on the packet prior to transmission.

摘要: A switching control circuit for a switching power converter utilizes an oscillating signal that causes reduced electromagnetic interference by the power converter by way of modulating the frequency of the oscillating signal within a specified frequency range. An output voltage monitor circuit monitors the output voltage of the power converter, thus producing an output voltage monitor signal. Also, a randomized signal generator creates a randomized signal, which is then used to drive a frequency range converter that is employed to produce a frequency modulation signal. The current state of the frequency modulation signal is based on the current state of the randomized signal, with the frequency range converter limiting the current state of the frequency modulation signal so that the oscillating signal will only operate within the specified frequency range. A variable frequency oscillator then generates the oscillating signal whose frequency is based on the current state of the frequency modulation signal. A comparator then compares the oscillating signal with the output voltage monitor signal to produce a switch control signal, which is then employed to control a switching element of the power converter.

摘要: A digital camera system is provided for capturing pictures of scenery or scanning the text of a document. A lens of the digital camera system receives light from a scene, and a conversion device defines a first set of digital data based on this light. A scanning mechanism included within the digital camera system scans a document as the system is passed over the surface of the document and produces a second set of data that defines an image of the document. An audio signal interface included within the digital camera system receives an audio message and defines a third set of digital data based on the audio message. A system controller stores the first, second, and third sets of data into a storage device. If desired, the first and second sets of data may be merged together to define a combined image depicting at least a portion of the scene defined by the first set of digital data and depicting at least a portion of the document defined by the second set of digital data.

摘要: A toy figure pair includes an assault toy figure having a punching mechanism which extends the toy figure arms in a punching or attacking movement as the user manipulates a movable toggle at the toy figure rear torso surface. A target toy figure is movably supported upon a plurality of freely rolling wheels and is able to roll away from impacts received from the assault toy figure. Additionally, a resilient cape supported upon the target toy figure is able to prevent tipping of the target toy figure under certain circumstances.

摘要: An air gapped inductance and a capacitance form a series resonance that is itself in series with a flourescent tube. The resulting series resonant network is permanently connected to one (+) side of the DC supply, while the other end is switched between that (+) side of the DC supply and the other (-) side of the DC supply. Switching occurs in synchronism with the different polarities of the half-cycles for the current circulating in the resonant circuit. In series with the current in the resonant circuit is the primary of a phase splitter driver transformer having separate secondaries phased to control FET switches to do the aforementioned switching, and whose turns ratios are selected to determine the duty cycles with which the resonant circuit is switched. The switched end is connected to the one (+) end of the DC supply for its entire associated half cycle. For significantly less than the remaining half cycle it is switched to the other (-) side of the DC supply to restore energy to the circuit and replace that which has been dissipated in the flourescent lamp. During the remaining balance of that remaining half cycle neither FET switch is closed, and current flows through a diode that bypasses the FET that is connected to the + side of the DC supply.

摘要: A distributed protocol for allocation of multicast addresses. A first node of a network sends an address request message identifying (1) a requested in multicast address, and (2) a multicast group identifier to which the requestor belongs. The request is in multicast on a network address reserved for address resolution. All other nodes of the network monitor the reserved network address for address request messages. If a second node receiving the address request message has already allocated the requested multicast address, then the second node sends an acknowledgment message identifying (1) the already allocated in multicast address, and (2) the multicast group for which the address has been allocated. This acknowledgment is transmitted on the same reserved network address on which the address request was sent. The first node, monitoring the reserved network address, receives the acknowledgment message. If the multicast group identified in the acknowledgment message matches the multicast group to which the first node belongs, then the first node also allocates the requested network address. If the multicast group identified in the acknowledgment message does not match the multicast group to which the first node belongs, then the first node abandons the requested network address. If the first node does not receive an acknowledgment message in response to any number of address request messages repeated for the same requested multicast address, then the first node either (1) allocates the requested network address, or (2) abandons the requested network address, if the node is not the first member of a multicast group to request allocation of the address. If address allocation succeeds, then the first node uses the allocated network address for multicasting. If address allocation fails, then the first node is free to select a different multicast address to request.
