    摘要: A switch mode power converter input terminals to receive high voltage input power and output terminals to provide output power. The converter has a high side/float main power switch, a current sensing resistor and an energy storage component. A current setting circuit is used to control a current source circuit to drive a through a biasing resistor connected between the high voltage input and a reference voltage potential according to a grounded current setting. The high side power switch is controlled by a high side/float control circuit based on sensing a voltage across a series connection of the current sensing resistor and the biasing resistor. Thus the grounded current setting is transmitted to the high side control circuit without using complex level shifter circuit such as transformer or opto-coupler.

    摘要: A power converter includes a power stage, a feedback circuit, a ramp generator and a controller. The power stage generates a pulse width modulation signal for forming an output voltage. The controller includes a comparator, a control logic circuit, an on-time generator and an off-time generator. The comparator generates a comparison signal according to a compensation signal from the feedback circuit and a ramp signal from the ramp generator. The control logic circuit generates a first trigger signal according to the comparison signal and an off-time pulse signal. The on-time generator generates a duty signal according to the first trigger signal. The duty signal is transmitted to the power stage for controlling a duty cycle ratio of the pulse width modulation signal. The off-time generator generates the off-time pulse signal according to the duty signal and transmits the off-time pulse signal to the control logic circuit.

The inductor is configured to exhibit a decrease in inductance with an increase in the current flow through the inductor.

    摘要: A driver circuit includes an input node to receive an input signal for conversion at the output node of a converter, a driver node to provide to a switching power circuit stage in the converter a pulse-width modulated drive signal having an active time, first and second active time generation paths, and a selector circuit coupled to the first and second active time generation paths. The circuit is operable selectively in a first and a second operational mode wherein the driver node receives the pulse-width modulated drive signal having a first active time value generated in the first active time generation path, or a second active time value generated in the second active time generation path. The second active time generation path includes an active time generator network to provide a second active time value with the second active time value adaptively variable to match the first active time value.

    摘要: A switching power supply includes a switching output stage configured to generate an output voltage by rectifying and smoothing a switching voltage that is pulse-driven as an output transistor is turned on and off. An oscillation circuit is configured to generate an on signal that alternates between an on period and an off period at a predetermined switching frequency, and a logic circuit is configured to set the on period of the on signal as a maximum on period of the output transistor. The oscillation circuit is configured to skip the off period of the on signal when, despite the output transistor being kept on for the maximum on period, the output voltage drops below a target value.
