    摘要: A hand held retractable abrasive sharpener having a rod formed with a tapered end portion and a partially cylindrical opposite end portion. A part of the partially cylindrical opposition end portion is flat. A slot is formed in the rod. Substantially all of the outer surfaces include layers of the rod have an abrasive material. The rod is carried in a carrying case for transport and storage in a locked relationship and being capable of being released and withdrawn for sharpening with carrying case serving as a holder.

    摘要: Degreasing compositions that may be used, for example, to degrease substrates such as contaminated surfaces of automobile engines are disclosed. The degreasing compositions comprise a builder, an amphoteric surfactant, and an alkoxylated acetylenic diol having the structure of formula (I) or (II): where: R1 and R4 are, independently, alkyl radicals containing from 3 to 10 carbon atoms; R2 and R3 are, independently, selected from the group consisting of methyl and ethyl; and (x+y)=2 to 50;  where: r and t are each, independently, 1 or 2; (n+m)=1 to 30; and (p+q)=1 to 30. Certain embodiments of the degreasing composition are non-caustic, low VOC and may be low phosphate or phosphate-free.

    摘要: This invention provides compositions for treating fibrous substrates to render those substrates durably repellent to water and oil and durably resistant to dry soil comprising a fluorochemical polymer formed by: (a) reacting a tri- or higher order isocyanate with a fluorochemical alcohol; (b) reacting the resulting product with an amount of water sufficient to react with between 5 and 50% of the isocyanate groups present in the product compound; and (c) thereafter reacting the product with a difunctional poly(oxyalkylene)-containing material. The present invention also provides a method of treating fibrous substrates to render those substrates durably repellent to water and oil and durably resistant to dry soil comprising application of the aforementioned composition to a fibrous substrate with one or more hydrophilic anti-staining compounds such as acrylic and methacrylic acid polymers and copolymers, sulfonated phenol-formaldehyde resins, and styrene-maleic anhydride polymers and copolymers, said application of the composition taking place either coincident with or following application of the hydrophilic anti-staining compound or compounds to the substrate. Fibrous substrates treated according to this method and fibrous substrates treated with the aforementioned compositions are also disclosed.

    摘要: A trocar and trocar obturator assembly having an obturator and a locking mechanism responsive to proximal, axial movement of the trocar obturator is disclosed. The trocar obturator has an elongated obturator shaft having a proximal end and a distal end with a piercing tip mounted thereto. The proximal end of the trocar obturator shaft is slidably mounted in a handle such that the obturator shaft is moveable axially. A protective safety shield having a distal end and a proximal end with a flange member mounted to the proximal end is slidably mounted on the trocar obturator. The safety shield is moveable, axially, between an extended distal position and a retracted proximal position. The protective safety shield is disposed concentrically about the obturator. A lockout arm for locking the safety shield in a locked extended position is mounted in the trocar obturator handle. An actuating collar member is mounted to the proximal end of the obturator shaft in the obturator handle and is moveable with the obturator shaft. The obturator collar disengages the locking arm when moved proximally and engages the locking arm when trocar is armed. The trocar obturator assembly may be concentrically mounted in a trocar cannula having a passageway for receiving the trocar obturator and safety shield. The locking mechanism is actuated by proximal, axial motion of the obturator.
