摘要: A flexible cannula device and delivery system for use in arthroscopic surgery. The delivery system engages the flexible cannula from the inside near the distal tip and pushes it into the surgical portal, essentially pulling the proximal portion of the cannula from the distal tip while being pushed from the proximal end with the specialized driver. The delivery system provides for single point engagement at the distal tip as well as a multiplicity of engagement points along the length of the system.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to apparatus and methods for a stepped needle for an intraosseous device that uses the outer surface of the bone cortex as a reference point. Since the thickness of the bone cortex does not vary significantly between patients, the accuracy of needle placement can be improved. The device includes a needle with a stepped increase in outer diameter disposed along the needle shaft. The abrupt change in outer diameter provides a substantial increase in insertion force. In embodiments, the stepped increase prevents any further insertion into the bone cortex. Embodiments include a tapered needle lumen for medullary access confirmation and an overtube that is rotatably and slidably engaged to protect surrounding tissues and prevent needle stick injuries. Further, a needle hub can be rotatable or slidable, and can transition an overtube to an extended position to prevent accidental needle stick injuries.

摘要: Introduced here is an ingestible device that can comprise a capsule, an intervention tool, and a processor configured to controllably employ the intervention tool to manipulate structures in a living body. The ingestible device may further comprise a camera that is configured to generate images of various in vivo environments as the ingestible device traverses the living body. These images may be wirelessly transmitted to an electronic device located outside of the living body to enable greater control over the intervention tool.

摘要: A puncturing device and an anchoring device, the puncturing device including: a puncturing needle, an inflatable anchoring balloon, and a catheter which passes through a proximal end and distal end of the anchoring balloon, the puncturing needle being movably accommodated within the catheter; in a filled state, a central area of an end portion of the distal end of the anchoring balloon is depressed towards the proximal end to form a depressed area, and a distal end of the catheter is located within the depressed area. The anchoring device includes the anchoring balloon and the catheter. The puncturing device may improve the accuracy and success rate of puncturing, and after puncturing is complete, an expansion balloon may be transported along a guide wire to expand a puncturing opening by simply withdrawing the puncturing needle and a push rod.

摘要: An infusion set includes a base (221) and a flexible catheter (242) movable from a first catheter position disposed substantially entirely within the base (221) to a second catheter position in which a free end of the catheter (242) is disposed externally of the base (221). An introducer needle (234) is located within the catheter (242) and is movable between a first introducer needle position disposed substantially entirely within the base (221) and a second introducer needle position in which a free end of the introducer needle (234) is disposed externally of the base (221). A spring (281) is activated to move the catheter (242) from the first to the second catheter position and the introducer needle (234) from the first to the second introducer needle position to facilitate insertion of the catheter (242). The introducer needle (234) is thereafter moved by the spring (281) back to the first introducer needle position to store the introducer needle (234) within the base (221) with the free end of the catheter (242) remaining disposed externally of the base (221).
