Abstract: Provided are a communication method and system enabling convergence of 5G communication and IoT technology to achieve higher data rates for beyond 4G communication systems.
In addition, provided is a method for transmitting a power headroom report (PHR) by a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system. The method includes: receiving a first PHR configuration information for a first base station (first ENB); receiving a second PHR configuration information for a second ENB; generating, when the UE has dual connectivity to the first ENB and the second ENB, a dual connectivity PHR containing PHR information for the first ENB and second ENB based on a dual connectivity PHR format; and sending the dual connectivity PHR. There is also provided a user equipment supporting the above method. There is further provided a base station and operation method therefor that enable the user equipment to have dual connectivity.-

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting power headroom information by a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving, by the terminal, information for an allocated uplink transmission resource; identifying whether a path loss has changed by more than a threshold, after transmitting last power headroom information, when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource; in case that the path loss has changed by more than the threshold when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource, determining a transmission of the power headroom information; and transmitting an uplink packet including the power headroom information based on the allocated uplink transmission resource. The power headroom information is obtained based on a difference between a maximum transmission power of the terminal and a transmission power of the terminal.

The method includes receiving a first radio resource control (RRC) message including information for RRC connection suspension, maintaining a signaling radio bearer (SRB) 0 and suspending a data radio bearer (DRB) and at least one other SRB based on the first RRC message, transmitting, to a base station, a second RRC message for requesting RRC connection resumption through the SRB0, receiving, from the base station, a third RRC message for the RRC connection resumption through an SRB1, and resuming an SRB2 and the DRB based on the third RRC message.-

The communication method of a terminal includes: receiving a message containing information regarding a semi-persistent scheduling (SRS) configuration from a base station; determining whether a sub-frame configured with a non-adaptive re-transmission is identical to a sub-frame configured with an uplink grant according to the SPS configuration; and when: a sub-frame configured with a non-adaptive re-transmission is identical to a sub-frame configured with an uplink grant according to the SPS configuration; and the terminal does not have data to be first transmitted via the sub-frame configured with an uplink grant according to the SPS configuration, performing the non-adaptive re-transmission.

Abstract: A system and a method that reports capability information regarding a dual mode User Equipment (UE) are provided. The UE supports Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD). The UE capability transmitting method includes receiving a message requesting UE capability information from an evolved Node B (eNB), generating first capability information and second capability information according to the UE capability information requesting message, and transmitting UE capability information including the first and second capability information to the eNB. The first capability information comprises FDD capability information applicable to an FDD mode or TDD capability information applicable to a TDD mode. The second capability information comprises capability information applicable to both the FDD mode and the TDD mode. The system and method can allow a dual mode UE to efficiently report its capability information.

A method for reporting the PHs for carriers used by a terminal in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation includes generating a message including the PHs along with indicators indicating whether a real transmission is scheduled on an uplink data channel of corresponding carrier, and including, when the real transmission is scheduled, a maximum transmission power used for calculating the PHs in the generated message.
