Abstract: An electronic device includes: a display panel including a plurality of light-emitting elements and a fingerprint sensing region; a fingerprint sensor disposed below the fingerprint sensing region; and at least one processor electrically connected to the display panel or the fingerprint sensor, and configured to identify an occurrence of an event that causes an operation of receiving a fingerprint through the fingerprint sensor to be executed, obtain a first image of the fingerprint by controlling the display panel such that light-emitting elements disposed in a first light-emitting region within the fingerprint sensing region output light, obtain a second image of the fingerprint by controlling the display panel such that light-emitting elements disposed in a second light-emitting region that does not overlap the first light-emitting region output light, and determine whether the fingerprint is a three-dimensional object, by using the first image and the second image.

In one general aspect, a processor-implemented method includes, based on battery data measured by a battery and a battery model of the battery, determining a detection parameter value used for detecting a short circuit of the battery and a variation factor value correlated with the detection parameter, using the variation factor to extract a reference value corresponding to the detection parameter value from a reference data set, and determining whether a short circuit of the battery has occurred based on a result of comparing the detection parameter value with the reference value.

Abstract: A processor-implemented method with battery state estimation includes estimating a current state of charge (SOC) of a target battery by correcting a first electrochemical model corresponding to the target battery using a first voltage difference between a measured voltage of the target battery and an estimated voltage of the target battery that is estimated by the first electrochemical model, estimating an end SOC of the target battery by correcting a second electrochemical model using a second voltage difference between an estimated voltage of a virtual battery that is estimated by the second electrochemical model and a preset voltage, and estimating a relative SOC (RSOC) of the target battery based on the current SOC and the end SOC of the target battery, wherein the second electrochemical model is based on the virtual battery corresponding to the target battery being discharged to reach the preset voltage.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a channel estimation method of a wireless communication device. The channel estimation method includes descrambling a pilot signal having a unit symbol, dividing the descrambled pilot signal, and estimating a channel value of the wireless communication device. The descrambled pilot signal may be divided into a plurality of frequency resources with a first frequency resource and a second frequency resource and generating a first signal chunk with the first frequency resource and a second signal chunk with the second frequency resource. The channel value of the wireless communication device may be estimated based on the first signal chunk and the second signal chunk.
