    摘要: An image forming apparatus obtains area information indicating target areas to be subjected to image processing from a plurality of image processing servers and judges whether or not their target areas are overlapping each other. The image forming apparatus examines the priority levels set in advance for the image processing servers if their target areas are overlapping each other, then repeats to instruct an image processing server with a lower priority level than another image processing server to adjust the position of its target area until it is judged that the target areas are not overlapping each other. And the image forming apparatus transmits information of the target areas confirmed to be not overlapping each other to the image processing servers, so that the image processing servers can successfully perform image processing on their own target areas according to the information.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus receives a print request and image information data from a terminal device connected to it via a network and executes a print job. The print job processing status is stored in a non-volatile memory. When the power to the printer is restored after being terminated, where print jobs that have not yet been processed are determined to exist after reference to the print job processing status stored in the non-volatile memory. The terminal device that requested said print job is requested to resend the image information data for that print job. Therefore, if the terminal device is constructed such that it receives the resend request and resends the image information data, the image forming apparatus can smoothly execute the non-processed print jobs based on the resent image information data.

    摘要: A maximum acceptable number (max.sub.-- req.sub.-- num(i)) is set for each transmission device (source of request) (i) which transmits image data. If it is determined that the maximum acceptable number is set for a source of request of a job, determination is made as to whether or not the number of currently accepted jobs from the source of request (current.sub.-- req.sub.-- num(i)) is less than the maximum acceptable number. If so, determination is made as to whether or not the number of jobs exceeds the maximum acceptable number which is the limit of acceptance of a memory in an image forming apparatus, if a currently requested job is accepted. If not exceeds, "acceptable" is given to the source of request. If exceeds, or if the number of currently accepted jobs from the source of request reaches the maximum acceptable number, "not acceptable" is transmitted to the source of request. Accordingly, an image forming apparatus is provided in which image data from a specific transmission device is accepted in preference to data from other transmission device when an image according to image data from a plurality of transmission devices is formed.
