    摘要: A copying machine wherein an orginal is exposed to light by the movement of a document table or an optical system to form an electrostatic latent image on a photoconductive drum at an image forming station, and the latent image is developed and then transferred from the drum to copy paper at a transfer station. The machine has a detector for producing an output upon detecting that the optical system has reached a predetermined position subsequent to the starting end of the original during the exposure, a timer for measuring a specified period of time from the time the detector produces the output, and a drive device for initiating a paper transporting device into operation in response to an input from the timer, the distance of transport of the paper from the transporting device to the transfer station being smaller than the distance from the image forming station to the transfer station along the periphery of the drum. A margin of specified width is formed at the leading end of the paper to render the paper transportable through the machine with improved characteristics.

    摘要: A miniaturized electronic apparatus having an alarm sound generating function comprises an alarm sound data memory, in which alarm sound data for a plurality of different alarm sounds are memorized. Peculiar alarm sounds can be preset for each season or month or weekday so that upon reaching of an alarm time in the corresponding season or month or on the corresponding weekday it is selectively read out from the memory to produce the corresponding alarm sound from a sound generator. A designated order of the plurality of different alarm sounds can also be set in the apparatus.

    摘要: 2-Hydroxygentamicins B, B.sub.1 and A.sub.3 and 2-hydroxy antibiotics JI-20A and JI-20B are prepared as fermentation products by culturing a nutrient medium containing carbohydrates, a source of assimilable nitrogen, essential salts and D-streptamine with a mutant of Micromonospora purpurea, and isolating the said fermentation products from the nutrient medium; the fermentation products are acylated with an ester of an .omega.-(N-benzyloxycarbonyl)amino-.alpha.-hydroxy-lower-alkanoic acid, after first blocking the 6'- and/or 2'-amine group with an amine-protecting group, followed by catalytic hydrogenolysis of the benzyloxycarbonyl group and removal of the amine-protecting groups to prepare the 1-N-(.omega.-amino-.alpha.-hydroxy-lower-alkanoyl) derivatives.
