Abstract:
A structure used in making a display for forming images including a transparent substrate having first and second surfaces; a light sensitive conductive layer provided over the first surface of the transparent substrate and patternable to form conductive traces; and a layer including light modulating material being provided over the light sensitive conductive layer. The structure also includes a second light sensitive conductive layer provided over the light modulating material layer.
Abstract:
In a structure for making a display that forms images including a transparent substrate having first and second surfaces; a light sensitive conductive layer provided over the first surface of the transparent substrate and patternable to form conductive traces; and an array which can produce a colored image.
Abstract:
Apparatus for printing images from a display included within an image capture device including a display for producing an image captured by the image capture device; a printer which includes photosensitive media which is adapted to be illuminated by an light image from the display; and a structure for controlling the display so as to produce a color image which is color balanced. The apparatus presents a photosensitive medium to be illuminated by the color balanced image.
Abstract:
Apparatus for printing images from a liquid crystal display included within an image capture device including a source of fluorescent light; a liquid crystal display responsive to fluorescent light from the source for producing an image captured by the image capture device; a printer which includes photosensitive media which is adapted to be illuminated by the fluorescent light image from the liquid crystal display; and a filter disposed within the printer for correcting color error in the fluorescent light image prior to its illumination of the photosensitive media.
Abstract:
A camera comprising a housing a having a top and a bottom, and a support for one's forearm and/or wrist, is characterized in that the bottom of the housing is concave to define a rounded inward hollow at a location directly beneath the top of the housing for receiving one's forearm and/or wrist along the bottom of the housing, whereby the support is built into the housing.
Abstract:
Apparatus for capturing and printing images on photosensitive sheets includes an electronic camera having a display; and an image sensor means for producing a digital image of a subject. In response to the digital image, the electronic camera displays an image on the display. The printer includes a light tight storage structure for receiving the photographic sheets. The printer receives the electronic camera and includes optics for focusing the image on the display along a single optical path onto a photosensitive sheet at an exposure position. The printer further includes a shutter member having a shutter aperture for controlling the aperture to cause light from the display image to illuminate the photosensitive sheet.
Abstract:
An optical adapter having at least one optical element which is attachable to a camera having a taking lens. The adapter is movable to selectively move the optical element(s) over or away from the taking lens after the adapter has been attached to the camera. According to the invention, the adapter can include a diffuser which covers a flash unit of the camera while the optical element covers the taking lens. Preferably, the adapter is entirely made from a single material.
Abstract:
A camera is provided that is capable of exposing films of various speeds comprising a flash unit capable of alternatively assuming a direct flash mode and an indirect flash mode and a film speed detector to determine if the speed of film in the camera is above or below a predetermined speed. According to the invention, a control apparatus connected to the film speed detector and the flash unit prevents the flash unit from assuming one of the flash modes if the film in the camera is below the predetermined speed, but allows the flash unit to assume the other flash mode if the film is below the predetermined speed.
Abstract:
A thermal printing system is disclosed in which a graphic image composed of a succession of lines having the same number of pixels each is scaled both horizontally and vertically by a factor of approximately 1.5 without altering the size of the pixels. The system disclosed replaces each 2 by 2 set of pixels with a 3 by 3 set of pixels. Each 2 by 2 set consists of two immediately adjacent pixels from the same line and the two immediately adjacent pixels from the next succeeding line. The corner pixels of the 3 by 3 set are identical to the four corner pixels of the 2 by 2 set. The intermediate pixels of the first and third lines have densities equal to the average of the densities of the two corner pixels on the same lines of the same set. The three pixels of the second line of the 3 by 3 set have densities equal to the respective averages of the densities of the pixels immediately adjacent to them in the first and third lines. In this manner, a standard 1024 pixel by 1280 pixel graphic image is transformed into a 1536 by 1920 pixel graphic image. When printed by a thermal printer using a FAX head with 8 dot per millimeter resolution, the resulting image loses substantially nothing of importance in the way of definition and is substantially equal in size to one printed with a standard head with 6 dot per millimeter resolution.
Abstract:
A sheet for use in a printing process has an image receiving surface on one side and an invisible magnetic coating on the reverse side. The magnetic coating contains encoded data used to determine the nonrecording side of the sheet to prevent printing on the wrong side of the sheet. The encoded data is machine readable and contains information on the printing characteristics of the image receiving surface of the sheet.
