摘要: A laser irradiation device and a method of manufacturing an organic light emitting diode display device using the same. The laser radiation device prevents the scattering of the laser light into portions of the donor substrate that correspond to non-transmissive regions of a mask pattern. To reduce the scattering, the mask pattern is designed so that 1) non-transmissive regions of a surface of the mask pattern that faces the laser source have a reflective layer, 2) the surface of the mask pattern that faces the laser source is oriented to have a certain angle with respect to the laser beam axis, and 3) a surface of the mask pattern that faces the donor substrate has an anti-reflective layer. Each of these design aspects of the mask pattern prevents laser light from being scattered and prevents irradiating portions of the donor substrate that corresponds to a non-transmissive region of the mask pattern.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a display device includes forming a buffer layer on a top surface of a substrate, forming an amorphous silicon layer on a top surface of the buffer layer, and forming a polysilicon layer by irradiating the amorphous silicon layer with a laser beam. A plurality of first protrusions are formed on the top surface of the polysilicon layer, and a plurality of second protrusions are formed on a surface of the buffer layer by transferring the shape of the polysilicon layer to the buffer layer. A gate insulator on the buffer layer is then formed in the shape of bumps of the second protrusions.

摘要: Provided is a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding an enhancement layer to reduce quantization error in a G.711 codec. Exponent indices of additional mantissa information of each sample are calculated based upon exponent information of each sample in a frame. A process of allocating 1 bit to each sample with a current exponent index is repeated, the exponent index starting from the maximum value while decreasing by 1 at every repetition until the total number of bits allocated to the samples is equal to the total number of available bits in the frame. And the most significant bits, as many as the number of bits allocated to each sample, are extracted from the additional mantissa information of each sample in the frame.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for selecting a candidate channel to change an operating channel so as to minimize effect of interference in a wireless communication system using a Cognitive Radio (CR) function are provided. The method includes confirming an operating channel of at least one neighbor cell and candidate channel set to a third group by the neighbor cell; setting a candidate channel used as the operating channel of the neighbor cell among at least one candidate channels changeable to the operating channel, to a third group of lowest priority; setting candidate channels set to the third group of the neighbor cell among candidate channels not set to the third group, to a second group; and setting candidate channels set to neither the second group nor the third group, to a first group of highest priority.

摘要: A direct memory access controller (DMAC) for improving data transmission efficiency in multi-media over internet protocol (MMoIP) and a method therefor are provided. The DMAC requests and obtains a bus control right by determining that a DMA request signal is generated not only when a DMA request signal of a module for processing data in MMoIP is received but also when an operation of a timer operating during a predetermined period set considering periodicity of data in MMoIP is completed. Thus, the time taken to request a bus control right in a conventional DMAC can be reduced, thereby improving data transmission efficiency in MMoIP.

摘要: A method for selecting a relay mode depending on channel status of relay links in a multihop relay broadband wireless communication system and a Relay Station (RS) apparatus for supporting the method. When signals are received from a Base Station (BS) and a Mobile Station (MS), channel status values (e.g., eigenvalue, mutual information, and probability error) of relay links (BS-RS link and RS-MS link) are estimated using the received signals. The estimated channel status values are compared with a preset reference value. According to a result of the comparison, the relay mode for relaying the received signals is selected. Accordingly, the reliability of the relayed signal can be enhanced and the capacity of the signal link can be increased.
