Abstract:
Portable exercise apparatus adaptable to fit a chair is provided. The apparatus comprises, in combination: (1) a back support removeably attachable to the backrest of a conventional chair; (2) at least one elongate extension member removeably and adjustably affixed to the back support such that the extension member extends through a point of reference located at a desired height on an imaginary vertical line which essentially bisects the backrest of the chair, the extension member extending through the point of reference and outwardly therefrom within a substantially vertical plane containing the line, the plane being parallel to and adjacent to the backrest of the chairs the outward end of the extension member having attached thereto, (3) a resistance mechanism to create resistance against movement, the resistance mechanism being engageable by a limb of a person when sitting in the chair. The apparatus has virtually an infinite number of resistance position locations which can provide universal exercise for arms, legs, back, neck, abdomen, ankles and wrists and which, in addition, is inexpensive to manufacture.
Abstract:
An aerobic resistance exercise garment effectively supplements a motion exercise. The garment includes an article of clothing including gloves and socks worn on the body with anchor members worn at the gloves and socks. A connecting element is connected to the article of clothing and the anchor member by interconnecting the gloves. A second set of connecting members connect the socks to the garment. Each connecting element is preferably made of an elastic material so as to offer resistance during the movement of the arm or leg in a motion exercise.
Abstract:
A stretching step with a perimeter skirt circumscribing the platform and the height of one end of the platform can be varied by means of cylinders formed in the platform and telescoping legs which interact with the cylinders and are positioned by spring lock pins and holes in the cylinders or an alternated means to vary the height by means of a plurality of holes in the opposite sides of the perimeter skirt and a U-bar that is inserted in corresponding holes and rest in notches in the bottom edge of the perimeter skirt to obtain different height adjustments.
Abstract:
An adjustable height and length aerobic step/bench device includes a base having a horizontal platform with a depending skirt. The base includes connecting elements for detachably receiving legs so that the elevation or height of the platform can be varied. Additionally, the platform itself includes structural elements to selectively permit the length of the platform to be varied.
Abstract:
Gambling activities in a single casino or group of casinos is enhanced by providing players with tickets or cards which qualify the players to special prizes such as from lottery drawings based upon such factors as play time and amount gambled as recorded on the ticket. Elevated tote boards mounted on the ceiling or walls near the ceiling display the periodic drawing, raffle or lottery results.
Abstract:
An exercise step/bench for aerobic climbing and dance includes a base in the form of a horizontal platform having a downwardly and outwardly extending apron disposed at an angle greater than 0.degree. and less than 90.degree.. A leg is mounted against the apron at each corner of the platform. The leg is movable from an active position where it extends downwardly beyond the apron to a stored condition where it is mounted against or in the base within the periphery of the apron.
Abstract:
An exercise step/bench for aerobic climbing and dance includes a base in the form of a horizontal platform generally rectangularly shaped with a downwardly extending apron. Each corner of the platform is provided with a plurality of leg receiving openings. A leg is provided for each corner and is constructed so as to be reversibly mounted in its respective corner thus providing height adjustability in accordance with the orientation of the leg and the selection of the particular opening into which the leg is mounted.
Abstract:
A portable, foldable, adjustable, aerobic exercise bench/step/mat comprises a plurality of individual panels secured by flexible hinges to each other so that the panels can be arranged in various orientations with respect to each other. For example, if all of the panels are placed side by side the result is a mat which could be used for aerobic exercise. When, however, one or more panels are folded on top of each other then the overall height is increased so that the stacked panels can then be used as a bench or step in an aerobic exercise such as the stepping up and stepping down from the stacked panels.
Abstract:
A combination sit-up, rowing, arm, leg and foot exercise device which includes a center pole, seat with rocker legs and telescoping legs, caster/wheel assembly, stationary or movable foot cross pole, foot treadles, seat cross pole and seat back support. Springs or other resistance devices are connected to the device at various locations to create resistance.
