摘要: A device identifier (ID) is used across enterprise boundaries. A user can use the device ID to publish a device for sharing with other remote users. The remote users can discover devices that are shared by other users based on device IDs, connect to a selected device, and then verify that they have connected to the correct device based on its device ID. An account authority service may be used to manage the publication and/or discovery of the shared devices and their device IDs.

摘要: A method for instructing an Adaptive Code and Modulation (ACM) switching is provided, which is applied in a microwave communication system configured with an ACM function and a Hitless Switch Mode (HSM) function. The method includes: obtaining signal quality of an active link and signal quality of a standby link; generating an ACM switching instruction according to the better one between the signal quality of the active link and the signal quality of the standby link; and transmitting the ACM switching instruction to a transmitting device of the active link. A device and a system are also provided. Through the method, device and system, the available bandwidth of a link is fully utilized when the signal quality of the standby link is better than the signal quality of the active link.

摘要: A method and system for sharing files between a group of computer systems. The file sharing system allows a group of computer systems to be defined. The files shared by a group are associated with a group folder. A group folder is represented by a folder created by the file system of each member of the group. The folder at each member contains a file for each file that is shared by the group. The files in the folder of a member may be actual files stored at that member, which contains the content of the shared file, or virtual files identifying the actual file that is stored at another member. When a member accesses a virtual file, the file sharing system detects the access and requests that the file owner provide a copy of the file to the accessing member on a peer-to-peer basis. Whenever a shared file is modified, the file owner sends updated metadata for that file to the other members of the group.

摘要: An identity and authentication platform utilizes a data model that enables multiple identities such as e-mail addresses, mobile phone numbers, nicknames, gaming IDs, and other user IDs to be utilized as aliases which are unique sub-identities of a main account name. A user may utilize the aliases supported by the platform to project multiple different on-line identities while using the authentication credentials of the main account. The platform is configured to expose the aliases to various client applications and Internet-accessible sites and services such as e-mail, instant messaging, media sharing, gaming and social networks, and the like, to enable the implementation of a variety of usage scenarios that employ aliases.

摘要: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and an apparatus for enabling delegated authentication for web services. Delegated authentication is provided without divulging the information the user requires to complete an authorization procedure of another web service or otherwise subjecting the user to unnecessary risk. Furthermore, delegated authentication is granted for a limited duration and access is subject to further limitations to prevent unnecessary intrusion to the user, the user's data, and the host web service. One embodiment of the claimed subject matter is implemented as a method for enabling delegated authentication to allow a third party service access to protected data on a host service. A user attempting to utilize functionality of a third party website that requests access to the user's data stored on a separate host website is enabled as a delegate with authorization to access the data stored on the host website.

摘要: Managing a web service provided by a plurality of servers coupled to a data communication network. Two versions of the web service are executed on the plurality of servers and a selected version of the web service is identified for execution based on a request from a user for access the web service. While access to the web service is permitted via at least one server, the web service is updated on at least one other server. One or more servers providing the web service may specify a default version of the web service as the selected version if the request from the user does not specify a version of the web service for access.

摘要: A device for emission of electromagnetic radiation comprises a source of atomic particles and a collector disposed to receive atomic particles from the source. The collector comprises an emission medium, the medium comprising a crystal having a spatial dimension in the range from about 10 nanometers to about 50 micrometers, wherein the emission medium has the capability to generate opposing charge pairs upon absorption of atomic particles from the source and to emit electromagnetic radiation upon recombination of the pairs. The emission may be via spontaneous emission or, in certain embodiments, by stimulated emission. A laser assembly comprising this device, and methods for making the device are also presented herein.
