A method for manufacturing a golf club head to solve a problem of coupling instability between cast materials and heterogeneous materials is disclosed. The method includes placing a shell mold with a crucible portion and a casting portion in communication with the crucible portion on a rotary table, with the casting portion including a cavity, with the heterogeneous material comprising an embedded portion inlaying in the casting portion of the shell mold and a non-embedded portion locating in the cavity of the casting portion, placing a metal ingot into the crucible portion, followed by melting the metal ingot into molten metal in a vacuum environment, driving the rotary table to rotate the rotary table, causing the molten metal to flow into the cavity, destroying the shell mold after the molten metal solidifies to obtain a casting including a cast product portion, separating the cast product portion from the casting to obtain a cast product of golf club head, and removing the embedded portion of the heterogeneous material protruding from a outer periphery of the cast product of golf club head.

A method for manufacturing a low-density steel wooden golf head is provided to solve the difficulty in reducing the thickness of a conventional wooden golf head. The method includes placing a shell mold having a crucible portion and a cavity portion in communication with the crucible portion on a rotary table, placing a metal ingot into the crucible portion, followed by melting the metal ingot in molten metal in a vacuum environment, rotating the rotary table to cause the molten metal to flow into the cavity portion under a centrifugal force, gradually slowing down the rotary table after the molten metal cools and solidifies, destroying the shell mold to obtain a casting including a cast product portion, and separating the cast product portion from the casting to obtain a casting product of wooden golf head having a density of 6.5-7.6 g/cm3 and a minimum thickness of 0.4-0.6 mm.

摘要:
A centrifugal casting apparatus includes a rotatable assembly to rotate about a rotation axis. The rotatable assembly includes a sprue chamber positioned about the rotation axis and is shaped to receive a supply of molten material. A first gate and a second gate are positioned to receive molten material from the sprue chamber in a general direction of centrifugal force. A first cavity and a second cavity are stacked and are respectively positioned to receive molten material from the first gate and the second gate in the general direction of centrifugal force.

Techniques for forming cast parts for medical devices suitable for contact with internal regions of patients are described herein. Such parts can be small in scale (e.g., having a major axis less than 0.3 inches, and/or a minor axis less than about 0.08 inches), and can be formed from metals that have a high melting point and high reactivity with environmental components or mold surfaces, such as stainless steel and titanium alloys. Such techniques can include injecting molten metal into the sprue of a mold tree such that the side runners are backfilled after the molten metal impacts a closed end of the sprue. Side runners can be oriented in particular directions and positions to promote backfilling. As well, flask temperatures and the use of surfactants can also promote cast part formation, hindering the formation of surface defects.

A process for producing a dimensionally accurate component from a nonferrous metal alloy includes the steps of: providing a casting mold corresponding to an external shape of the component and associated with an outlet opening, wherein the casting mold includes at least one heated mold shell; providing a heated rotatably mounted runner device for receiving a melt of the nonferrous metal alloy; determining a three-dimensional setting angle for the casting mold with respect to the outlet opening based on acceleration forces on the melt, wherein the acceleration forces include centrifugal forces applied to the melt and Coriolis forces of the centrifugal forces; disposing the casting mold at the three-dimensional setting angle with respect to the outlet opening; and feeding a melt into the mold through the outlet opening using the runner device so as to completely fill the casting mold.
