    摘要: A method for manufacturing a high-strength golf iron head with a thin striking faceplate includes placing a shell mold onto a rotary table. At least one metal ingot is placed into a crucible portion of the shell mold and melts in a vacuum environment. The rotary table rotates to cause the molten metal to flow into a cavity portion of the shell mold. The rotating shaft is slowly stopped, and the shell mold is removed after pouring. The shell mold is destroyed after the molten metal cools and solidifies, obtaining a casting. A cast product portion is separated from the casting to obtain at least one golf iron head subsequently treated with heat treatment to provide a striking faceplate of the golf iron head with a tensile strength of 280-340 ksi, an elongation of 4%-20%, and a minimum thickness of 1.4-1.8 mm excluding a groove depth of the striking faceplate.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a low-density steel wooden golf head solves the difficulty in reducing the thickness of a conventional wooden golf head. The method includes placing a shell mold having a crucible portion and a cavity portion in communication with the crucible portion on a rotary table, placing a metal ingot into the crucible portion, followed by melting the metal ingot in molten metal in a vacuum environment, rotating the rotary table to cause the molten metal to flow into the cavity portion under a centrifugal force, gradually slowing down the rotary table after the molten metal cools and solidifies, destroying the shell mold to obtain a casting including a cast product portion, and separating the cast product portion from the casting to obtain a casting product of a wooden golf head having a density of 6.5-7.6 g/cm3 and a minimum thickness of 0.4-0.6 mm.

    摘要: To produce precision castings from a melt, use is made of a metallic casting wheel (1) which has an annular distribution channel (4) and a plurality of interchangeable casting moulds (6), each having at least one filling opening (6a). The melt quantity per casting operation is chosen here such that the casting moulds (6) and the distribution channel (4) are filled with the melt upon the rotation of the casting wheel (1) about its axis (A—A), in such a way that after the solidification of the melt the precision castings are held together by a ring of the casting material which is formed in the distribution channel (4), the so-called circulating material for new casting processes, and are removed from the casting wheel (1) together with the casting moulds (6), whereupon the precision castings are separated from the ring. In order to be able to produce precision castings with complicated three-dimensional shapes, in particular with undercuts, by this means as well, the casting moulds (6), which can be used only once and are destructible for the purpose of demoulding, are selected from a ceramic material and are attached in a positive-locking and interchangeable manner to the casting wheel (1) and so as to protrude therefrom. As a result, the circulating material can be fed uncontaminated to a recycling process.

The ceramic shell moulds made by providing a pattern of flexible elastically deformable material of a required shape and supported on a mandrel, applying at least one coating of hardenable refractory material to said pattern to form a rigid shell and removing the mandrel from supporting relationship with the pattern and subsequently removing the pattern from the shell by elastically deforming the pattern. The pattern is made by moulding said material in a master mould of a required shape and removing the pattern from the master mould, after the pattern has set, by elastically deforming the pattern.

    摘要: A pipe mold for centrifugally casting pipe is disclosed. The pipe mold according to the present invention is made by depositing weld material on a rigid shell. The rigid shell is obtained by forming a flat plate into a cylinder and welding the resultant seam. Additional rigid shells can be circumferentially welded together to obtain a desired length. The welded seams are areas of weakness called metallurgical notches. To eliminate the metallurgical notches, weld material is deposited on the shell. In one embodiment, weld material is deposited on the outside of the shell. The shell then is machined away. The resultant pipe mold has a total wall thickness comprising weld material and is free of metallurgical notches. In addition, the need for furnace heat-treatment to achieve properties in the weld material can be eliminated.
