摘要: Techniques for forming cast parts for medical devices suitable for contact with internal regions of patients are described herein. Such parts can be small in scale (e.g., having a major axis less than 0.3 inches, and/or a minor axis less than about 0.08 inches), and can be formed from metals that have a high melting point and high reactivity with environmental components or mold surfaces, such as stainless steel and titanium alloys. Such techniques can include injecting molten metal into the sprue of a mold tree such that the side runners are backfilled after the molten metal impacts a closed end of the sprue. Side runners can be oriented in particular directions and positions to promote backfilling. As well, flask temperatures and the use of surfactants can also promote cast part formation, hindering the formation of surface defects.

摘要: An equipment/distribution cabinet which contains electrical/electronic device modules. The cabinet allows for front, side and rear access for replacement, servicing and maintenance of the modules carried by the cabinet. The cabinet further includes mounting units which creates areas within which the modules are mounted within the cabinet. The mounting units connect to corner supports assisting in the front, side and rear access. The mounting units further include integrated wire and cable passage ways and tie bars allowing for organization of the wiring within the cabinet. The cabinet is produced to allow either top or bottom access and can accept a plurality of input voltage levels. The cabinet is constructed so that modules having a variety of different functional characteristics and sizes may be intermixed.

摘要: In a multisided access communication distribution cabinet, an adjustable tie rod is configured as part of mounting units. The adjustable tie rod is located between grooming bars of the mounting unit, fitted within slots allowing for the adjustable tie rod to move within an area defined by the slots. Wires/cables are passed through an opening defined by the adjustable tie rod and one of the grooming bars. Once the wires have been located in a desired location, the adjustable tie rod is moved into close association with the grooming bar such that the wires are held in a fixed position. Thereafter the adjustable tie rod is placed in a fixed position thereby holding the wires/cables in a secure manner.

摘要: Provided is a modular precharge circuit capable of rapidly recharging an equipment circuit path prior to insertion of a modular fuse or modular circuit breaker. The precharge circuit includes a switch to begin the operation of precharging, and a charge indicator to indicate appropriate charging has occurred. Charging occurs through use of a resistive network which receives an inrush current due to capacitance in the equipment circuit path. Once an equipment circuit path has been precharged to a desired level, a charge indicator signifies such charging is complete and the precharged unit is removed whereafter an appropriate fuse module and/or circuit breaker module is inserted. The precharge circuit further includes a fusing element and an alarm indicator wherein when the circuit enters a fault state such that the fuse is open, the alarm indicator signifies such a situation. Additionally, when the charging indicator verifies the charging element is not precharging the circuit to a desired level, an indication of a short exists.
