    摘要: An apparatus having adjustable saws for wood cutting. A cutting head has at least two spaced apart disk-saws for producing respective slicing cuts in an article of wood, the saws defining respective distinct outer cutting diameters. Preferably, the disk-saws are bolted to the cutting head and spaced apart therefrom adjustable amounts by interdisposed control plates of predetermined thicknesses. Preferably, a first one of the disk-saws defines an annular ring having an inner diameter, and the outer cutting diameter for the first disk-saw is greater than the outer cutting diameter of a second one of the disk-saws. The outer cutting diameter of the second disk-saw is then less than the inner diameter of the first disk-saw, so that the second disk-saw is nested inside the first disk-saw while remaining axially displaceable therefrom. Preferably, the cutting head is relieved behind at least the cutting teeth of the second disk-saw to permit sawdust that migrates past the second disk-saw, into the space defined by the inner diameter of the first disk-saw, the second disk-saw and the cutting head, to exit through the cutting head.

    摘要: The invention is meant for a cant forming arrangement of the kind with at least two rotational chipping heads with a basic cut off conical form where they each have a basic conical main surface and a small end, whereby the chipping heads are arranged in pairs with the small ends turned opposing one another and equipped with replaceable knives which are arranged on the respective chipping head's main face with the purpose to surface a log on two opposing sides, through length feeding of a log between the chipping heads, while they are rotating, and that the wood which is removed is made directly to chips by the knives. A single knife in at least one spiral set of cutting knives closest to the chipping head's small end, shows a main angled cutting edge which, besides that it in a known way extends substantially parallel with a rotational plane to the chipping heads, is angled 10 to 50 degrees back in relation to a radius through the rotation center and the chipping heads, in such a way that an outer, from the rotational center furthest away end of the main cutting edge is located further back towards the rotational direction in relation to an inner, closer to the rotational center located end of the cutting edge.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for processing and cutting structural concrete is disclosed in which the apparatus includes a first, larger cutting blade and at least one smaller cutting/finishing blade positioned adjacent to the larger cutting blade. The smaller blade have a beveled or concave cutting surface so that as the larger cutting blade forms cuts into the concrete, the smaller cutting/finishing blade rounds or bevels the edges of the cut. The rounded or beveled edges have a greater surface are and, therefore, additional strength to prevent chipping or cracking along the cuts. In the preferred embodiment, a smaller blade is positioned adjacent to each side of the larger blade to round or bevel both edges of the cut as the cut is formed by the larger blade. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, the above described apparatus can be used on previously made cuts in concrete to round or bevel the edges and avoid breakage or chipping.
