摘要： A method of manufacturing paint roller covers is disclosed in which the paint roller covers are manufactured from a seamless segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric that is placed onto a cylindrical forming tube having a segment of bonding material temporarily secured on its outer surface under the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric. The cylindrical forming tube is placed on a heated mandrel to apply heat thereto to cause the bonding material to bond to the interior of the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric. The cylindrical forming tube is removed from the mandrel and cooled, and the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric becomes secured to the bonding material to produce a semi-rigid paint roller cover segment. The semi-rigid paint roller cover segment may be finished into paint roller covers.

摘要： A storage container for paint roller sleeve includes a set of flutes on at least two opposing sides of an interior surface of said cylinder for stabilizing a roller cover in place from rattling inside of the housing and for holding said roller cover in place when extracting a roller frame from said roller cover. Each set of flutes includes three interior flutes that located between said two exterior flutes. The interior flutes include a middle flute that is set back a distance from the other two interior flutes so that when the exterior surface of the container is pressed inward said middle interior flute cuts into a paint roller sleeve housed within the container and the other two interior flutes bend outward around a nap of said roller sleeve to better hold said roller sleeve in place when a roller frame is being extracted from said roller sleeve.

摘要： An apparatus for cleaning a paint brush and preventing a discharge of harmful and flammable vapors. In a first embodiment, a housing has vertical front, side and rear walls that have upper edge portions in a common horizontal plane for providing a seat for a seal. The common upper of the housing are sealed by a soft resilient cellular seal and a cover that engages the housing. The cover and resilient cellular seal have aligned apertures for receiving in a pass through sealing relationship a handle of a paint brush. In a second embodiment, a cylindrical housing has an open top portion which is sealed by threadably engaging a cover with a resilient cellular seal therebetween. The cover and resilient cellular seal cover have aligned apertures for receiving in a pass through sealing relationship a handle of a paint brush.

摘要： A storage and carrying system in which paint brushes that are wet from recent cleaning are held in such a manner as to facilitate drying, and can be stored and moved from place to place while so disposed. The brushes are placed in holsters which are inserted into openings in the top panel of a case. The holsters have drain holes which allow liquid held in the bristle portions of the brushes to drip into the interior of the case. A drawer having a reservoir is positioned in the interior of the case beneath the holsters to collect the liquid dripping from the holsters.

摘要： An air tight paint brush jacket is provided which seals a wet paint brush in its wet condition from drying out until its next use. The jacket is composed of a sleeve and boot prepared from an elastomeric sheath. The sleeve provides an inverted U-shaped body having an upwardly extending neck which frictionally and rigidly seals the brush handle. A shoulders section and a ferrule section of the sleeve firmly engages the brush shoulders and ferrule portions of the brush. An expanded bristles section loosely contains the bristles portion of the brush. The boot is hengedly attached to the sleeve and is structured to securely engage the entire jacket in an air tight seal. The frictionally engaged neck and form fitting neck, shoulders and ferrule firmly engage the brush handle, shoulders and ferrule portions to support the enclosed brush in an upright position and the loosely contained bristles portion preserves the bristles in its painting condition.
