摘要： A closure clip for fastening closed a bag or similar article having a unitary, generally flat, slotted body having at least two elongated juxtaposed space-apart members. The members define at least one slot extending longitudinally between the members and the members are further shaped so that the slot has a wide, bag-gathering area located in an open end of the slot. The slot transitions from the bag-gathering area to a narrow bag-accepting area located at a closed end of the slot. The invention also includes at least one aperture located in the body spaced-apart from the members and the slot and sized to accommodate a human's finger or thumb. A closure clip is fastened and removed from the open end of a bag using arm strength and is not reliant on finger strength or dexterity making the clip particularly user friendly.

摘要： A clasp having a wafer-like body releasably holds together thin flexible handles of a bag for carrying articles. The body includes a pair of opposing lobes that define a channel extending from a peripheral edge to an interior aperture. A wall of the aperture defines two generally V-shaped niches, each on opposite sides of the channel adjacent the lobes. The handles of the bag, inserted through the channel to the interior aperture, engage the niches for holding the bag substantially closed when being operated for enveloping articles. A method of releasably maintaining an entrance of a bag substantially partially closed is also disclosed.

摘要： A measuring scoop with molded reusable fit clip is disclosed. The measuring scoop includes a bowl with a scraping lip or shoulder used for more effectively lifting product into the bowl, an elongated handle which is integrally mounted on said bowl and a reusable fit clip on the free end of the handle, which clip is used for sealing closed a bag of product. The design of the handle as well as the design of the reusable fit clip extends the life of the molded friction fit clip by improving the clipping force as well as the clip's resistance to deformation from applied stress.

摘要： A closure for closing the folded open end of a bag comprises a tri-laminate of thin relatively rigid plastic material having planar opposite sides and an edge therebetween. The closure is provided with an opening through the opposite sides of the tri-laminate and an entrance passage to the opening from the edge and which entrance passage has a non-linear profile in the direction between the opposite sides of the tri-laminate. The closed end of a bag is introduced into the opening through the entrance passage which distorts the folded end of the bag to the non-linear profile, thereby frictionally holding the closure on the bag and perpendicular to the crease line of the fold.

This line is achieved by shearing the material of the strip while bowing it about a longitudinal axis so as to present a curved surface to an oncoming shearing tool which has an oppositely curved surface. The extent of intersection of the opposite curve defines the length of the line of the separation. The breaking portion is adjacent each end of the line. The clips during severence suffer apparent lateral contraction but no longitudinal distortion.

Two projections are spaced apart one from the other when the deformable portion is in one of its configurations, and are sufficiently close when the deformable portion is in its other configuration to prevent removal of a fastened article from the fastener. In this manner, both easy opening and secure closing are obtained with the closure.
