A residue slurry bed hydrocracking method and device is used in the deep processing of crude oil. The processes of “slurry bed+fixed bed” reactor are applied. Raw materials, additives, catalysts and hydrogen are mixed, heated and pressurized before they are introduced into the slurry reactor, where thermal cracking and catalytic reactions occur under high hydrogen partial pressure. The coke, catalysts and additives in the reaction process are separated at the bottom of the heated high pressure separator (HHPS). Then they are transferred in a conventional fixed bed reactor to do further hydrocracking and hydrorefining, to product light oil products. The new Mo-Fe based catalyst developed in the invention can improve the activity of the main reactions, inhibit the reaction of coke production, and reduce system pressure from 20 Mpa to 17 Mpa, which can reduce device costs. Conversion rates can reach 90-95%, with the yield of light oil reaching 80-83%.

A system and process for upgrading a whole crude oil feed in an integrated ebullated-bed and hydrotreater is provided in which the whole crude oil is flashed into a flashed straight run distillates fraction and an atmospheric residue fraction. The atmospheric residue fraction is hydroprocessed in an ebullated-bed reaction zone, while the flashed straight run distillates fraction and the products fraction produced from the ebullated-bed reaction zone are hydrotreated in a fixed-bed reaction zone. The unconverted residue fraction from the ebullated-bed reaction zone is processed in a coker unit to produce high quality petroleum green coke.

This invention relates to a process involving hydrocracking of a feedstream in which a converted fraction can exhibit relatively high distillate product yields and maintained or improved distillate fuel properties, while an unconverted fraction can exhibit improved properties particularly useful in the lubricant area. In this hydrocracking process, it can be advantageous for the yield of converted/unconverted product for gasoline fuel application to be reduced or minimized, relative to converted distillate fuel and unconverted lubricant. Catalysts and conditions can be chosen to assist in attaining, or to optimize, desirable product yields and/or properties.
