摘要: The present invention provides an ecological block and a method for constructing an ecological vegetation bank protection wall and an ecological vegetation retaining wall using such an ecological block. In the ecological block according to the present invention, a truncated conical projection and a corresponding groove is provided at the upper and lower parts of the block body of said ecological block respectively, a channel-shaped space (groove) in which water grasses are planted is provided at either side of the block body of said ecological block, and traveling passages for amphibious animals and insects and grooves for absorbing noise are provided at the front part of the block body of the ecological block. With the present invention as mentioned above, it is possible to preserve the ecological environment since excellent spawning and inhabitable spaces for amphibious animals and insects are provided.

摘要: A concrete receptacle assembly includes a frame that supports a series of cells that are used to receive waste concrete and mold the waste concrete into synthetic riprap blocks. The cells are defined by a series of angled partitions that are mounted within the frame, with the angled partitions defining the shape of the synthetic riprap blocks produced. In operation, the waste concrete is distributed into the cells, where it is allowed to cure for a predetermined period of time. Once cured, the concrete receptacle assembly is upended such that the synthetic riprap blocks will be dislodged from the cell. Once the synthetic riprap blocks have been extracted, the concrete receptacle assembly is prepped for the next cycle of production.

摘要: The riparian improvement structure for use upon riparian protection, shore and bank protection, wave control, water control, etc. of a river, lake, sea, etc. is composed of a plurality of blocks and a structural body or bodies composed of a plurality of wooden materials or mass materials. The riparian improvement structure also provides an environment suitable for the habitation of aquatic life such as fish, crustaceans, e.g., crabs, shrimps, aquatic insects, etc., and for the growth of aquatic plants, etc. The blocks are each provided with a water passage, such as a through-hole formed therein or a plurality of grooves formed on the bottom thereof, through which fresh water can flow, when they are disposed on the structural body or bodies or on a riparian area such as a river-bed, shore, bank, bottom, etc. of a river, lake, sea, etc. The blocks are disposed for fresh water to flow through the water passage and to be supplied to the structural body or bodies inhabitable for aquatic life. The blocks are further disposed in a relationship spaced away from each other forming a space therebetween and the space is also useful for the supply of a fresh water to the structural body or bodies.

摘要: A block (11) formed with a mold (10) integral thereto. The mold (10) is constructed as a mold top half (12) and a mold bottom half (14) and filled in situ with cement (16). The mold halves (12,14) are constructed with respective socket and channel structures (24, 20) to capture an enlarged end (38) of a connector (34) for interlocking one block to a neighboring block. The resulting block (11) constitutes a one-piece block that can be formed at the installation site using the two-part mold (10). The interlocked blocks are prevented from removal when moved in either lateral direction, or in the vertical direction.

摘要: A method and means for making and using three composite concrete construction components that share a common matrix. The articles are comprised of: discarded whole tires 2, axially aligned, with rebar formed washers 4, transversely placed at intervals between the tires 2. The tire bundle 2, with the washers 4, are compressed, banded with metal or fiber strapping 1, reinforced with wire mesh 5, and rebar rods 6, and encased in a concrete shell 3, to form: cylinders; rectangular-blocks; or, half blocks. The concrete composite articles can be molded with hollow cores and used individually or in multiple configurations to construct environmentally safe structures such as: artificial reefs, beach erosion inhibitors, jetties and artificial islands; imbricated walls for: highway dividers, noise abatement, retaining and security walls around airports and buildings. These composite concrete articles will allow for millions of discarded tires to be recycled into non-polluting, environmentally friendly structures for use in virtually any construction project.

摘要: A block for use in a revetment system comprising a plurality of blocks arranged to form a mat. The block has a top surface, a bottom surface and first and second opposed side surfaces that extend between the top and bottom surfaces, and third and fourth opposed side surfaces extending between the top and bottom surfaces and the first and second side surfaces. The first and second opposing side surfaces have a mating recess and projection, such that a recess on a first side surface mates with a projection on a second side surface of an adjacent block in a revetment system. On each of the third and fourth sides is a channel and two interlocking tips disposed on either side of the channel. The interlocking tips of a third or fourth side of one block are adapted to fit into the channel of the third or fourth side of another block. The channel is configured so that there is the possibility of lateral movement when the blocks are configured into a mat.

摘要: The erosion control system includes a plurality of erosion control blocks connected to one another by connectors to form an interconnected network of erosion control blocks conforming to the underlying terrain for erosion prevention. Each erosion control block includes a plurality of apertures therethrough each forming a side wall. The connector includes a pair of projecting legs for insertion into adjacent erosion control blocks. Each leg attachingly engages the side wall of the aperture of an erosion control block for connecting that erosion control block to an adjacent block. The legs include tapered extensions which frictionally engage the side wall, and in one embodiment of the erosion control block, the side wall includes a shoulder which engages the terminal end of the tapered extension. The erosion control block may have one end with convex arcuate surface and another end with a concave arcuate surface for providing an articulating joint between adjacent erosion control blocks. The erosion control block also may include a plurality of horizontal hydraulic grooves in the bottom planar surface of the block for hydrostatic relief.

摘要: A revetment block for use in a revetment system, the block having top and bottom surfaces and pairs of opposed and substantially parallel side surfaces. One of the side surfaces in each of the opposed pairs has first and second projections and the other of the side surfaces in each of the opposed pairs has first and second recesses. The projections and recesses are sized and configured so that they mate with projections and recesses on the side surfaces of adjacent blocks. The bottom surface of the block may be provided with projections to enhance the frictional stability of the blocks. The blocks are connected together by cables which pass through tunnels between the side surfaces of the blocks. A sleeve fitted into each opening of the tunnel in the side surface is provided to protect the cables from breakage.

摘要: Shore erosion control structure has a plurality of block members laid on a beach along a shoreline to form a wall having a plurality of parallel rows and vertical courses. Each of the block members has substantially horizontal, seaward facing openings within which are spaced apart baffles. The baffles are removably accommodated in the openings so as to be adjustable and provide tortuous passages through the wall through which water and entrained sand may flow. Water containing entrained sand flowing through the tortuous passages has its energy dissipated so as to enable the entrained sand to be deposited at the landward and seaward sides of the wall, as well as in the openings through the block members, thereby preventing the erosion of the beach and, in many cases, enabling restoration of beaches that have been eroded.
