摘要: 868,908. Toothed gearing. MAAG GEAR WHEEL & MACHINE CO. Ltd. Dec. 9, 1959 [Dec. 10, 1958], No. 41908/59. Class 80 (1). In a table drive for a gear-cutting machine having a worm-wheel 1 which is driven by two worms 2, 3, and the two worms are connected together by two intermeshing bevel gears 4, 5, the bevel gears 4, 5 also mesh with two other bevel gears 11, 12, which in turn mesh with each other, and the bevel gear 12 is adapted to swing about the'axis of the bevel gears 5, 11 with which it meshes in order to compensate for backlash in the transmission. The bevel gear 11 is mounted on a sleeve which is rotatably mounted on a driving shaft 10, and the bevel gear 12 is rotatably mounted in a rocker 13 which is rotatably mounted about the shaft 10. Angular movement of the rocker 13 is effected by two set screws 14 and 15 which are rigidly connected to the machine bed through a support 16. The shaft carrying the worm 2 is in two parts which are splined together, and the upper part is mounted in an adjustable thrust bearing 17. Backlash is eliminated by first adjusting the thrust bearing 17 and then by appropriate adjustment of the rocker 13 by means of the adjustable stop 14 or 15. In a modification, the set screws 14, 15 are used as stops and the swinging of the rocker 13, and hence of the bevel gear 12, is effected by manually or power operated means.
