摘要: A steering column for a steer-by-wire steering system may include a steering shaft that can be connected to a steering wheel. The steering shaft is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis in a casing unit. A feedback actuator may be operatively coupled to the steering shaft. The casing unit may have a second length in a direction of the longitudinal axis, and the steering shaft may project into the casing unit by a first length. Consequently, installation space volume and weight are saved, particularly where the first length is less than the second length. In some cases, the first length is less than or equal to half of the second length.

摘要: A gear-based mechanical metamaterial with continuously adjustable elastic parameters in a large range is provided. The gear-based mechanical metamaterial includes a gear array, a frame and connecting shafts. The gear array is formed by periodically extending mechanical metamaterial cells along an x direction and a y direction. Each of the mechanical metamaterial cells is formed by arranging a multiple gears. Adjacent gears of the multiple gears are meshed with each other. Each of the multiple gears includes a center hole and two centrosymmetric irregularly-shaped holes. A thickness of an elastic arm between the each of two centrosymmetric irregularly-shaped holes and an outer wall of a corresponding one of the multiple gears is uniformly increased or decreased. Each of the connecting shafts is arranged in a center hole of a corresponding one of the multiple gears.

摘要: An impact tool includes a housing having a handle portion defining a first axis, a motor supported by the housing and defining a motor axis, and a rotary impact mechanism arranged on a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis. The rotary impact mechanism is configured to convert a continuous rotational input from the motor to consecutive rotational impacts upon a workpiece. The rotary impact mechanism includes a chamber containing a hydraulic fluid, an anvil positioned at least partially within the chamber, and a hammer for imparting the consecutive rotational impacts upon the anvil. The hydraulic fluid is configured to attenuate a noise of the rotary impact mechanism that is created by the hammer impacting the anvil. The impact tool further includes a gear train that receives torque from the motor and includes a rotational input that transfers torque to the rotary impact mechanism.

摘要: An apparatus and methods are provided for a transmission for a rear mid-engine vehicle. The transmission comprises a power transfer portion for receiving torque from the engine and a gearbox for providing conversions of rotational speed and torque. First and second side output portions conduct torque from the gearbox to the rear wheels. A forward output portion conducts torque to front wheels of a four-wheel drive vehicle. An air clutch comprising each output portion controls the degree of torque transferred to each wheel. The output portions are each coupled to a rear wheel by a rear axle, bevel gears, and rear portal gears. The rear axles are aligned with, and positioned above, the trailing arms to protect the rear axles from damage due to rocks and debris. The length and alignment of the rear axles cause CV joints to articulate in the same direction as the trailing arms.
