Abstract: An in-vehicle device includes: a movable member; a motor that moves the movable member; at least one detection switch that detects movement of the movable member; and a controller that controls the motor based on a detected output of the detection switch. The in-vehicle device further includes: a locking mechanism unit that, upon determination by the controller based on the detected output from the detection switch that the movable member reaches an end point region in a movement direction, locks the movable member, and upon determination by the controller that a main switch is set to OFF, releases the lock; and a motor driver that, after the release of the lock by the locking mechanism unit, upon determination by the controller based on the detected output from the detection switch that the movable member is moved again, drives the motor to move the movable member.

Abstract: A rotary table (1) includes a base body (10), a worm wheel (21), an inner ring (22), a plurality of rolling elements, and a worm screw unit (30). The worm screw unit (30) includes a worm screw (31) held to be rotatable around an axis and having a second gear (31A) meshing with the first gear (215), and a worm screw housing (32) surrounding and holding the worm screw (31) and being fixed to contact the holding surface at a planar contacting surface thereof. One of the holding and contacting surfaces has a cylindrical pin (33) arranged to protrude therefrom. The other of the holding and contacting surfaces has a first recess (11) formed to receive the pin (33), the first recess having a width corresponding to the pin (33) and being elongated in the radial direction of the worm wheel (21).

Abstract: Magnetically-assisted mechanical gear systems and other power transmission systems, and related methods of operation and assembly, are disclosed herein. In an example embodiment, such a system includes a driving gear, a driven gear, and a first magnetomotive force (MMF) source that generates a magnetic flux. A first portion of the flux is communicated between at least one driving gear teeth and at least one driven gear teeth so that one or more magnetic forces are exerted between the gears. When the first rotational movement of the driving gear alternates from being in the first rotational direction to being in a third rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, then the driven gear is driven by the one or more magnetic forces so that the second rotational movement also alternates, and a first amount of backlash movement between the driving and driven gears is avoided or reduced.

Abstract: A resolver assembly for a ducted-rotor aircraft is configured to detect and measure rotation of a spindle of the aircraft. The resolver assembly includes first and second gear-driven resolvers. The first and second resolvers are coupled about a shared pivot axis and are independently pivotable about the pivot axis to maintain engagement of the first and second resolvers with the spindle of the aircraft. The resolver assembly is configured such that the first and second resolvers are biased toward the spindle. The input shafts of the first and second resolvers are spaced from the pivot axis through respective first and second distances that extend outward from the pivot axis along respective first and second radial directions. The first distance is equal to the second distance and the first radial direction is not coincident with the second radial direction.

Abstract: A camshaft unit for a vehicle includes: a cam gear shaft-coupled to one end of a camshaft; a scissors gear provided at one side of the cam gear while having the camshaft as a concentric axis and relatively rotated with respect to the cam gear; a coil spring provided between the cam gear and the scissors gear, having one end fixed to one side surface of the cam gear and the other end fixed to the other side surface of the scissors gear; and a snap ring installed in a groove formed in one side surface of the scissors gear and inhibiting separation of the scissors gear in an axial direction. In particular, the coil spring transfers a torque of the cam gear to the scissors gear while being elastically restored depending on rotation of the cam gear.

According to the disclosure, the planetary roller carrier and/or the sleeve comprise one or more flow ducts connecting the interior and the exterior of a chamber defined radially by the sleeve and axially by the planetary roller carriers to one another.
