摘要: A monitor device that is configured for use on flow controls and like industrial devices. The embodiments may include a resonator that is sensitive to vibrations on the flow control. The resonator may generate a non-electrical signal, like pressure waves. This non-electrical signal can transit a conduit to a sensor that can convert the pressure waves into an electrical signal. On valve assemblies, a controller can process the electrical signal to detect potential health or maintenance issues. The controller may, in turn, generate an alert to prompt operators to perform maintenance on the flow control.

摘要: A turbulator adapted to be mounted to or inserted in an inlet portion of a flow meter for a ventilator is disclosed. The turbulator is adapted to create a turbulent gas flow in the inlet portion downstream of the turbulator upon passage of a gas flow therethrough. A flow meter for a ventilator is provided. The flow meter may comprise such turbulator. The turbulator may be arranged in the inlet portion of the flow meter. A membrane for a ventilator flow meter is provided, as well as a flow meter comprising the membrane. A flow meter comprising a turbulator and a membrane is disclosed.

摘要: An optofluidic flow meter to determine a rate of fluid flow in a flow member includes: the flow member; a primary fluid conduit disposed in the flow member and that receives a fluid; a secondary fluid conduit disposed in the flow member; and a fiber optic comprising a fiber Bragg grating interposed between a first flow region of the primary fluid conduit and a second flow region of the secondary fluid conduit and that: physically distorts relative to a pressure differential between the primary fluid conduit and the secondary fluid conduit; and produces a shift in a Bragg wavelength in response to a physical distortion due to the pressure differential.
