    摘要: A projection display system includes: two light sources (102, 105); a condenser (103, 106) for condensing the light from the light sources; a time-division color separating optical system (108) for temporally switching the incident light into a first, second, or third color of light to be emitted; a light valve (118) capable of modulating the incident light individually for each pixel; a lighting optical system (111, 112, 114) for directing the light from the time-division color separating optical system onto the light valve, and a projection optical system (123) for magnifying and projecting a pixel on the light valve. The light from the two light sources (102, 105) is condensed on the time-division color separating optical system or its vicinity by the condenser (103, 106), and then superimposed. This can provide a projection display system that performs time-division driving and can achieve high-brightness projection images without increasing the size and cost of a system.

    摘要: Respective light-emitting elements are caused to emit light at the maximum rated outputs and densities of three colors developed by a photosensitive material are made substantially uniform. The maximum rated outputs at light-emitting central wavelengths, of the three-color light-emitting elements are respectively 2.4 mW, 0.04 mW and 1.2 mW. The ratio between the outputs is represented as R:G:B=60:1:30. On the other hand, the ratio between spectral sensitivities of the most-frequently used photosensitive material is represented as R:G:B=1:30:2. An exposure-value ratio on the photosensitive material, which is synthetically obtained from these, reaches R:G:B=2:1:2. Thus, the numerical ratio among the light-emitting elements, for making exposure values uniform becomes R:G:B=1:2:1. The numbers of the respective light-emitting elements are defined so as to reach the least numbers from the numerical ratio (i.e., one R-light-emitting element, two G-light-emitting elements and one B-light-emitting element). Further, a repetition of R-G-B-G, R-G-G-B or the like is most suitable as the sequence of arrangement of the light-emitting elements.

    摘要: An arrangement of a color enlarger head is disclosed that allows an original picture negative to be irradiated for print-out with an even quantity of light without the need for adjusting a quantity of light transmitted through a diffuse transmission plate disposed on an exit side of a diffusion box.     摘要: An enlarger head for multigrade paper is described which comprises a light mixing system for mixing light from two sources.The system comprises disposed along a longitudinal axis a solid light-mixing member of an optically clear material which has as a light-input face a generally planar sulcated face having grooves therein of equilateral triangular cross-section and a substantially smooth light-output face, said two light sources being diametrically opposed relative to the longitudinal axis and each being adapted to direct light onto said light-mixing member from an angle substantially 60.degree. relative to said longitudinal axis, the general plane of said sulcated face of the light-mixing member being disposed normal to the said longitudinal axis and the grooves therein having smooth polished surfaces and extending normal to a plane containing both light sources and the longitudinal axis, light from the two sources passing through the light-mixing member to emerge therefrom substantially along the longitudinal axis.

    摘要: A subtractive color printing device for use between a source of white light and a color transparency or negative intended to be exposed to at least a portion of the spectrum of such source. An aperture is disposed in the exposure path between the light source and the negative. A plurality of color filters, each mounted on a separate carrier frame, are positioned for independent adjustment to different positions between one position fully exposing and another position fully spanning the aperture. Each filter carrier is driven to such different positions by a motor. A computer is programmed to power the motors, upon a user input, to drive the filter carriers to preselected positions.

    摘要: The additive color system includes a light source providing three component light beams. The component beams are combined to form a composite beam. Three variable-density electrooptical filter units are provided, each arranged in the path of a respective one of the component beams. Each filter unit attenuates the respective component beam in dependence upon a control voltage applied to its control electrodes. A selecting device selects the transmission value to which the filter units are to be set. A circuit generates corresponding control voltages and applies them to the control electrodes of the filter units, and includes compensating circuits for compensating for repeatability errors in the response of the filter units.
