    摘要: An AC voltage controller has two transistors which can be positioned between two AC voltage terminals in series with a load. The two transistors are connected in series in such a way that their respective source terminals are connected to one another. The AC voltage controller also contains a signal generator for generating a switching signal for actuating the two transistors, a buffer which is connected downstream of the signal generator and which is set by the signal generator in order to actuate the two transistors. An actuation circuit or driver circuit is connected downstream of the buffer, for the purpose of actuating the two transistors in accordance with the set state of the buffer. A current-limiting circuit is provided for limiting or switching off the current through the two transistors in the case of an excessively large current through the load.

A converter circuit has a plurality of first switching elements 311, 313 and 315 that are connected to each phase R, S or T of the polyphase AC power to enable switching for turning on current-carrying bidirectionally, and a plurality of second switching elements 312, 314 and 316 that are connected to each phase to enable switching for turning on current-carrying bidirectionally. The converter circuit comprises input lines R, S and T connected to each input terminal, and output lines P and N connected to each output terminal. Parts of wiring 347 and 348 of protection circuits 32 are located between output lines P and N. The wiring distance between each protection circuit 32 and the corresponding switching element can be shortened.

The power conversion circuit includes bidirectional switches of which each includes antiparallel connection circuits connected serially. The snubber circuit is connected to the bidirectional switches. The snubber circuit includes first diodes, a capacitor, a second diode, and third diodes. The first diodes are respectively corresponded to the bidirectional switches. A first connecting point of each the first diode is connected to a connection point between the two unidirectional switching elements constituting the bidirectional switch. A first connecting point of the capacitor is connected to a second connecting point of each the first diode. First and second connecting points of the second diode are connected to a second connecting point of the capacitor and the corresponding output terminal. The bidirectional switches, the first diodes, and the second diode are arranged in one power module.

    摘要: An energy savings device, system, and method wherein a predetermined amount of voltage below a nominal line voltage and/or below a nominal appliance voltage is saved, thereby conserving energy. Phase input connections are provided for inputting analog signals into the device and system. A volts zero crossing point detector determines the zero volts crossing point of the signal. The positive half cycle and negative half cycle of the signal are identified and routed to a digital signal processor for processing the signal. The signal is reduced by pulse width modulation and the reduced amount of energy is outputted, thereby yielding an energy savings for an end user.

    摘要: A matrix inverter is connected to a first and a second multi-phase A.C. voltage network. First inductive elements are connected to the first A.C. voltage network and second inductive elements are connected to the second A.C. voltage network. A switch matrix connects the ends of the first inductive elements, to the ends of the second inductive elements. The switch matrix has inverter units. A regulation arrangement is connected to control inputs of the inverter units. The matrix inverter has a first inverter unit, which is arranged between the ends of the first inductive circuit elements and earth potential. The matrix inverter has a second inverter unit, connected between the ends of the first inductive circuit elements and the ends of the second inductive circuit elements. The regulation arrangement insures that the electrical power flowing to the matrix inverter is equal to the electrical power flowing out of the matrix inverter.

    摘要: A voltage regulator for regulation both of AC and of DC voltages, is provided in a regulator module (30) which uses a repetitive switching signal (32) to control a switch (36) allowing current to be supplied to a reservoir capacitor (42) by supply from an unregulated rail (18). The module contains a dual inductor (44, 46, 48) having first (44) and second (46) identical windings and a common core. A current pass capacitor (43) is also provided. When the switch (36) is closed, the first winding (44) delivers current to the reservoir capacitor. When the switch (36) is open, both the second (44) and the first (46) windings deliver current to the reservoir capacitor (42). The apparatus can support balanced operation, where pairs of switches are operated alternately and oppositely. The switching signal (32) can be suitably voltage restored to provide a signal suitable to control and operates switches (36). Different configurations of transistor switches (36) and diodes (38) are shown.
