    摘要： A telecommunications installation has a plurality of stationary and similar base plates including one main plate and a plurality of secondary plates mounted stationarily immediately adjacent one another and each formed with mounting holes. Respective different circuits each mounted on a respective one of the plates are each provided with an array of stiff connectors. A terminal strip mounted only on the main plate and provided with an array of stiff connectors matable with the connectors of the circuit of the main plate is itself provided with a bus extending from the strip of the main plate, having a plurality of conductors connected to the connectors of the terminal strip, extending along the secondary plates, and provided at each of the secondary plates with an array of stiff connectors matable with the connectors of the respective circuit. Respective caps are releasably secured to each of the plates over each of the respective circuits.

    摘要： Telecommunications connector having a modular jack with a plug chamber open at one end of the body, and conductive lines with terminals projecting into the chamber and plate terminals projecting from the other end of the body. A dielectric retainer holds the plate terminals in position. In a practical arrangement, the retainer has walls and a base with the modular jack mounted between the walls and engaging the base. The conductive lines extend between the modular jack and a wall of the retainer with the plate terminals extending through slots in the base of the retainer.

The present invention is comprised of essentially six or seven molded parts including two and four position body portions; brackets for holding modular jacks, the brackets attaching to the body portions; interlocks or end stack grommets which interconnect pairs of body portions; and a two part strain and relief plug which receive and retain cables entering and exiting the body portions of the present invention.

    摘要： An integral plastic strip is formed into a comb-like piece part having an elongated row of upstanding teeth or tabs. The root of the space between each adjacent pair of teeth or tabs is formed into a generally arcuate cove for receiving, embracing, and capturing a single wire or a cable which may be pressed into the cove. Adjacent each root cove, the teeth or tabs are marked with a number or other symbol which identifies the wire positioned there. There are a predetermined number of the root coves so that the wires or cables may be formed into discrete groups. Each strip has connectors near its opposite ends which enables a plurality of strips to be stacked together, in order to form a large group of the groups.

    摘要： A modular communications access apparatus which permits untrained personnel to quickly and properly convert a passive junction box which contains a telecommunications cable to an active junction box with a wall-mounted telecommunications socket, includes a first keyed socket connected to selected conductors of the in-wall telecommunications cable and an associated attachment structure. The attachment structure, designed to be connected by the untrained personnel, includes an active face plate having a centrally located and an outwardly oriented telecommunications socket, an electrical connection means affixed to an inner side of the face plate and plug engageable with the keyed socket affixed to the telecommunications cable as well as an attachment means to retain the attachment structure adjacent the junction box when the installation is completed.
