摘要: An image forming system includes an image forming device, a reading device and a hardware processor. The image forming device includes an image former that forms an image on a sheet. The reading device includes a line sensor and a lens unit. The line sensor reads the sheet with the image formed, thereby obtaining a read image. The lens unit includes a plurality of lenses and forms an image of the sheet on the line sensor. The hardware processor identifies a sheet region of the sheet in the read image, and corrects a magnification of each subregion in a main scanning direction of the sheet region according to a characteristic of a portion in the main scanning direction of the lens unit, the portion having being used in forming an image of the subregion on the line sensor.

摘要: A scanner reads a document using a sensor group and includes an optical member. When a scanning resolution in a main scanning direction is D, and a resolution of the sensor group is S, the optical member causes the sensor group to image light from the document magnified by a magnification ratio n, where n is greater than or equal to D/S and is greater than 1. The sensor group includes a plurality of sensor portions that are arrayed in L rows in a sub-scanning direction, and L is greater than or equal to n and is an integer of 3 or more. Each of the sensor portions reads a magnified image that is magnified by the magnification ratio n at each corresponding position in the main scanning direction of the document and that is guided by the optical member.

摘要: An improved high resolution scanner for use in a conventional scanner housing. A plurality of mirrors, including a two-position switchable mirror adapted to sequentially scan a first column, and then a second column, is mounted on a carriage which also includes a conventional lens and CCD for sequentially scanning an object to be scanned in a two-pass scan. The resulting scanned portions, when combined, produce a high resolution image of the scanned image.

摘要: A scanner with a movable mirror set in the scanning module for increasing the resolution of scanned images. The scanner includes a housing that makes use of a set of movable mirrors. When the mirrors move, the distance traveled by the light from the document to the CCD changes, resulting in a different optical resolution. The lens moves in order to maintain the proper focal distance between the document and the CCD. A driving device coordinates the movement of the lens and the moveable mirrors.

摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a plurality of reading sections (CCD elements) and reads a photographic photosensitive material by pre-set plural reading sections of the plurality of reading sections. In the image reading apparatus, on the basis of a value indicating an amount of deviation between an actual reading position and a predetermined proper reading position, the plural reading sections which read the photographic photosensitive material are suitably shifted from pre-set plural reading sections. Accordingly, even if a reading device deviates from its proper position, an entire range to be read of the photographic photosensitive material can be read. Specifically, first, a position H1, at which a reference position of the photographic photosensitive material is actually imaged on the reading device (a line CCD sensor), is fetched. Next, a proper imaging position H0, at which the reference position of the photographic photosensitive material should be imaged on the reading device, is fetched. An amount of deviation &Dgr;H itself (i.e., a difference between the proper imaging position H0 and the actual imaging position H1) is calculated by the formula &Dgr; H=H0−H1. Then, a range of CCD elements selected in advance to read only the photographic photosensitive material is moved, in a direction of eliminating the calculated deviation, by a number of CCD elements corresponding to the amount of deviation.

摘要: An image reading apparatus, according to the present invention, capable of obtaining high quality image data in accordance with reading determining conditions is provided. The reading determining conditions for an image are as follows. The first step is waiting for the input of resolution (S200) and then pre-scanning of a photographic film to be read is carried out (S202-206). After that, as setup for the fine scanning, a zoom magnification corresponding to the resolution inputted in S200 and the lens diaphragm condition are determined and then, respective sections are set to that zoom magnification and lens diaphragm condition (S208, 210). Then, fine-scan is carried out for all film images (S212-220).

摘要: High resolution composite images and ultra wide composite images are produced in a digital camera which combines a plurality of images to form a composite image on a single sheet. An image sensing unit includes a movable image sensing optical unit having a first and second focal lengths and a two-dimensional image sensing device. The image sensing unit is driven to control the optical axis of the image sensing optical unit so as to capture a plurality of images via the two-dimensional image sensing device. The plurality of images are combined to produce a composite image. An ultra wide composite image at standard resolution is produced by setting the focal length of the image sensing optical unit at a first focal length on the wide angle side, and a high resolution composite image is produced by setting the focal length of the image sensing optical unit at a second focal length on the telephoto side.

摘要: A lens motor and a conjugate length motor are driven to move a lens unit and a reading section to positions, respectively, which positions corresponding with a set magnification, autofocusing is carried out, and an actual focusing magnification is determined. It is then determined whether the actual focusing magnification is within a standard range corresponding to the set magnification. When the actual focusing magnification is outside the standard range, a number of pulses of the lens motor for changing the actual focusing magnification to the set magnification is calculated, the lens unit is moved again, autofocusing is carried out, and an actual focusing magnification is determined. This movement of the lens unit and autofocusing is carried out repeatedly until the actual focusing magnification falls within the standard range. A default value of resolution of the conjugate length motor is adjusted based on a difference between the pulse numbers for two set magnifications, each pulse number being for when the actual focusing magnification becomes a value within the standard range for the respective set magnification, and on a difference in conjugate length for the two set magnifications. A default value of resolution of the lens motor is adjusted based on a difference between pulse numbers for two set magnifications, each pulse number being for when the actual focusing magnification becomes a value within the standard range for the respective set magnification, and on the difference in distance from a principal point of the lens unit until the focusing position for each of two set magnifications.
