    摘要: An image reading device includes a reading member and a skew detector. The reading member reads an image of a passing document at a read position preset in a document transport path. The skew detector detects a skew of the document by selecting one of a first skew detection mode and a second skew detection mode based on information that specifies a method for detecting the skew of the document. The first skew detection mode is a mode in which the skew of the document relative to a transport direction is detected based on an image of a leading-edge section, in the transport direction, read by the reading member. The second skew detection mode is a mode in which the skew of the document relative to the transport direction is detected based on an entire image read by the reading member.

    摘要: An image capture unit and computer readable medium used in combination therewith is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the image capture unit includes an image capturing sensor, a visual display, an instance of the computer readable medium, and circuitry for integrating functionalities thereof. The computer readable medium causes sensor data received from the image capturing sensor to be processed. The sensor data includes a plurality of image tiles and position indicating data defining a respective relative position of each one of each image tiles. Each one of each image tiles includes data representing a discrete portion of visual content. The computer readable medium causes a feedback image be displayed on the visual display. Displaying the feedback image includes correlate the relative position of each one of each image tiles with at least one other image tile that has been previously generated and displayed.

    摘要: A method for creating digital documents from hardcopy documents by means of a reproduction system including a display and a scanner includes detecting an event of an intended scanning of a hardcopy document; upon detection of the event, opening an image adjustment screen at the display, the screen including an image area, a scan settings area and a process button; displaying at the image area of the screen a digital image; displaying, at the scan settings area of the screen, image parameter values; activating the image parameter values by activating the process button; closing the screen at the display; scanning the hardcopy document according to the image parameter values corresponding with the displayed digital image resulting in a digital document; and selecting the digital image to be displayed to be either equal to a digital image that has been previously stored, or equal to a predetermined other digital image.

    摘要: A portable camera for recording and displaying an image of an object such as printed paper wherein the camera is arranged to be positioned on an object to be recorded wherein the cameras is provided with an outer lower surface which is arranged to be in contact with the object if the camera is positioned on the object, a light sensitive sensor for obtaining an image of at least a portion of the object, a display and processing means for processing the image obtained by means of the sensor and for displaying at least a portion of the recorded image on the display in a possible magnified form, wherein the camera is provided with at least one lighting unit for lighting the object to be recorded when the camera is positioned on the object, wherein the camera is arranged such that light rays of the at least one lighting unit which are, in use, submitted to the object are directly submitted to the object, possibly via a mirror and/or a lens wherein the lighting unit is arranged within the camera such that if the object which is recorded would be a flat mirror whereon the camera is positioned for recording the flat mirror, the lighting unit is located outside a viewing field of the sensor which viewing field is formed in combination with the flat mirror.
