The invention also relates to a print fleet system configured to apply the method according to the invention.
Abstract:
A system and a method for automatically processing a plurality of sheets. The method includes receiving printing instructions, receiving finishing instructions, after printing, in order to form a stack of printed and finished sheets, the finishing instructions includes an instruction to create a new target stack edge extending in a direction of a stack height on each of the plurality of sheets, printing a mark on each sheet of a group of sheets of the plurality of sheets, the mark intended to hit the new target stack edge in a group of at least one target hit point, and finishing the plurality of printed sheets according to the finishing instructions to create a new actual stack edge. A plurality of actual hit points form a pattern on the new actual stack edge and comprises a continuous proportional indication for a degree of correctness of the printing and/or finishing operation.
Abstract:
A method of displaying a digital image having a high aspect ratio on a user interface screen connected to a control unit of a printing system includes the steps of determining a first part of the digital image, which part includes one end of the digital image in a longitudinal direction; determining a second part of the digital image, which part includes the other end of the digital image in the longitudinal direction; displaying the first part and the second part simultaneously on the user interface screen; and further displaying the remaining part of the digital image in a suppressed manner or a compressed manner in-between the first part and the second part at the user interface screen. A printing system includes a control unit, which includes a memory unit for storing a digital image, and a user interface screen for displaying the digital image, the control unit being configured to execute the method.
Abstract:
A method for managing a document at a mobile device having a user interface screen, the mobile device being arranged for a wireless connection to a reproduction unit and loaded with a mobile application for sending documents to the reproduction unit, includes opening the document by the mobile application at most a complete desktop area on the user interface screen, storing the document in memory of the mobile device, closing the document by the mobile application at the user interface screen, and automatically showing the document stored by the mobile application at the desktop area by means of a representation after the document is closed. A mobile device is provided for performing the method.
Abstract:
A method and print system for stopping the print system are disclosed. The print system includes a control unit for controlling the printing of sheets, a print engine for printing recording material on the sheets, an input tray for holding sheets to be printed upon, and a finishing unit. The method includes scheduling printing and finishing of a plurality of sheets, including sending a sheet request from the control unit to the finishing unit, and upon receiving the sheet request, the finishing unit provides an earliest expected arrival time of a sheet at the finishing unit to the control unit. When this time is too huge, operator intervention is required and the finishing unit reports an error to the control unit, after a previous sheet has been deposited in the finishing unit, and the control units stops the print engine before the sheet leaves the input tray.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fluid container, such as an ink bottle, wherein said fluid container comprises a (spring-loaded) valve having an internal screw thread enabling the valve to be securely locked by attaching a capping device having an external screw thread onto the valve.
Abstract:
A print head mounting assembly for mounting and positioning an inkjet print head on a print head support structure includes a first clamping mechanism for clamping the inkjet print head in a first direction and a second clamping mechanism for clamping the inkjet print head in a second direction, the second direction being substantially perpendicular to the first direction. In order to ease adjustment of the position of the print head, the second clamping mechanism includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the print head in the second direction and a release mechanism for releasing the first clamping mechanism, the release mechanism being arranged that the release mechanism is to be operated for operating the adjustment mechanism.
Abstract:
A sheet folding apparatus includes a sheet transport system, adjustable folding members arranged to bend and fold a sheet fed by the transport system, and a control system arranged to adjust the folding members to set positions in accordance with information on sheet properties. The control system stores a table that specifies different set positions of the folding members for different bending properties of the sheets and is adapted to read information on the bending properties of the sheets to be folded and to adjust the folding members to set positions as specified by the bending properties.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for printing on a media object supported by a flat bed of a printer, the printer comprising a print head and a camera above the flat bed, the method comprising the steps of detecting a media object on the flat bed surface of the printer by means of a digital camera image captured by the camera, deriving camera coordinates of the media object in the digital camera image, applying a direct transformation from the camera coordinates into print head coordinates of the media object without using coordinates of the flat bed surface, and printing a digital target image on the media object by ejecting recording material on the media object from the print head, the print head controlled according to the print head coordinates appropriate for the media object.
Abstract:
A printing system and a method for printing a multilayer structure using radiation curable ink, the multilayer structure comprising multiple ink layers which are consecutively printed, and wherein a first printed ink layer of any two consecutively printed ink layers is cured before a subsequently printed ink layer is printed thereon, wherein at least one ink of multiple inks is selected for being used for printing the multilayer structure, said multiple inks comprising at least one first and at least one second radiation curable ink, wherein said at least one ink is selected in dependence on information about at least one property of the said at least one ink apart from color, wherein, of the multiple inks, at least the selected at least one ink and at least one of the at least one first ink are used for printing the multilayer structure; the physical property being e.g. an expansion/shrinkage property and/or an adhesion property.
