A dive belt is provided for use by divers during underwater activities, such as scuba diving. The belt comprises a body member and a weight release system which is quickly removal while the belt remains in place on the diver. A tow clip can be attached to the belt and may be used in conjunction with a surface air supply system for pulling the surface air supply system.

A girth adjustable waist belt that easily converts to a diver's buoyancy compensator with/without integrated weight system and can also easily convert to a utility backpack and belt in which one single size will fit the general population is provided. The mega-adjustable feature also provides secure yet expandable lower back and abdominal support offering physical protection in stressful work conditions. A dive belt is also provided for use by divers during underwater activities, such as scuba diving. The belt comprises a body member and a rapid release weight system which is quickly removal while the belt remains in place on the diver. The belt can also provide for horizontally mounted supplemental air supply system, for use in the event a main air supply is lost or not wanted. In all embodiments, an elastic depth compensator can be built into the belt, insuring a snug fit of the belt at any depth. The belt has a plurality of D-rings for convenient equipment management. A quick release tow clip is attached to the belt and may be used in conjunction with a surface air supply system for pulling the surface air supply system.
Abstract:
A diving back plate designed with independent shoulder and waist straps. The diving back plate accommodates either a single tank or double tank configuration without the need for an adapter. The independent straps are self-fastening to the back plate through a series of throughslots on the back plate. Items and accessories may be permanently attached to the independent straps while the straps remain fully adjustable and removable. The configuration of the back plate, throughslots, and throughbores eliminate the need for adapters when changing between a single tank configuration and a double tank configuration.

A watertight container (10), comprising a rigid watertight box (32, 132, 232, 332) connected by means of a wrist strap (12) to limbs or other members of the human or animal body, allows to safely carry, contiguously to the arm, the leg, or the neck, small size articles, such as either wounded or folded banknotes, valuables, pills, jewels, etc. also in situations of water immersion such as bathing or swimming, excessive sweating, steal or robbery dangers, engaging sporting activities, etc, thanks to the watersealing feature of the box (32, 132, 232, 332), provided with suitable gaskets seals (62, 66), to the anatomical suitability and the strength of the wrist strap (12) housing the box (32, 132, 232, 332).
Abstract:
Weight belt apparatus for divers includes a belt with one or more sleeves disposed on the belt and adjustable thereon for the convenience of the diver using the apparatus. Each sleeve includes one or more pouches for receiving and holding weights. The pouches are collapsible for convenience when no weight is disposed therein.

Scuba apparatus utilizes light-weight pressure vessels, or tanks, of relatively thin aluminum wrapped with fiber in a resin binder. Since such tanks are not approved for use in water, the tanks are enclosed within a water tight enclosure, and the enclosure in pressurized to exclude all water. A connection for filling the tanks extends through the enclosure, a burst disk is provided externally of the enclosure, and connections for the scuba mask and other accessories are provided. An automatically adjusting buoyancy control may be included within the enclosure in space not occupied by the tanks. A container fits within the void, and a flexible bladder is within the container. Water can be allowed to flow into the bladder, and air under pressure fills the balance of the container and balances ambient pressure. The size of the container cannot change, and the amount of water remains fixed, so the buoyancy remains fixed.

The present invention comprises a quick release tank support bracket having a positive locking engagement along with an optional operative seat back supportive assembly which includes support bars mounted with a frame with clamp arms secured to the support bars. At least two such support bars are included with at least one or more clamp arms secured thereto. The clamp arms are movable between a closed position for retaining of a tank therein and an opened position for releasing of the tank therefrom. Each of the support bars includes a crank arm which is interconnected by an inner engagement device for controlling cooperative relative movement of the two clamp arms with respect to one another. Closure lugs are positioned integral with the clamping arms and extend inwardly and include tank engaging surfaces such that when the tank is inserted into place by pushing horizontally toward the backing plate, the clamping arms and the support rods will automatically move to the tank retaining position. Also simultaneously the seat back members which are secured to the clamping bars will move together to form a rear seat cushion area for a conventional seat as may be used on emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and the like.

An improved mounting assembly for mounting gauges and devices to a divers forearm. The assembly is comprised of a flexible material with provisions for rigid components to be placed therein. Rigid components provide structural integrity and secure gauges and devices. Gauges and devices may be easily removed, inserted, or exchanged while the unit is not being worn. When worn, the device may not be manipulated in such a manner as to allow gauges and devices to be easily moved. A compass holder (38) and a depth gauge holder (36) are sized to fit a variety of gauges commonly available. A rigid ring (62) with an inside diameter sized to fit specific models of gauges prevents gauges from rotating and popping out of device. Large overhangs comprised of flexible material hold devices conforming to the shape of a typical watch and diver's thermometer. A writing tablet and pencil may be secured to the inside arm of the device and are held in place by means of overhangs (40), friction, and compression. Provision is made for a secondary means to secure a pencil (44). A knife sheath may be inserted into divers outside arm side. Knife sheath is secured to device by means of plastic tabs (70) inserted through the sheath and which interface with recepticles (32) in the device. Air channels (58), encased rigid rods (24), a contored interior surface (52), and hook and loop fasteners (20) prevent the device from slipping and rolling on the arm.

A waterproof pouch includes a readily openable and recloseable waterproof seal protected by a closure flap having readily openable and recloseable fastening means. The pouch also includes a readily openable and closeable clamp for clamping the pouch to wearing apparel.
