When the releasable flap is in a closed position. the opening is covered to keep a weight in the pocket, and when the releasable flap is in a released position, the opening is uncovered to allow the weight to fall out of the pocket due to gravity. The apparatus also includes a way for opening one end of the releasable flap and attachment devicesto secure the pocket to an underwater diving harness.

摘要： A support garment for diving equipment includes several subassemblies for providing comfortable support of diving equipment, such as a tank of pressurized breathing gas, a buoyancy compensating air cell and a ballast weight pocket assembly. A frame is adjustably secured to a shoulder support assembly that includes adjustment straps for accommodating various body sizes. A belt assembly is pivotally secured to the lower portion of the frame. A bust or chest panel extends between shoulder supports, providing a secure and comfortable fitting structure for divers of various body types, particularly women. Elements of the garment are secured to one another via rivets placed at predetermined locations, thereby facilitating assembly and servicing of the garment.

摘要： A dive belt is provided for use by divers during underwater activities, such as scuba diving. The belt comprises a body member and a rapid release weight system which is quickly removal while the belt remains in place on the diver. The belt can also provide for horizontally mounted supplemental air supply system, for use in the event a main air supply is lost or not wanted. An elastic depth compensator can be built into the belt, insuring a snug fit of the belt at any depth. The belt has a plurality of D rings for convenient equipment management. A quick release tow clip is attached to the belt and may be used in conjunction with a surface air supply system for pulling the surface air supply system.

摘要： Device for the rapid attachment and release of aqualung cylinders to and from a back structure comprising: a rigid support which is connected to the cylinders by means of belts and is provided at one end with a blocking recess, and a back structure which can be connected to the stabilizer jacket and is fitted with a transverse bar which couples with the recess in the rigid support. This back structure is provided near the end opposite the transverse bar with a pin which may be coupled to a mating hole disposed near the end opposite the recess. A spring clamp cooperates with said hole so as to disengageably lock said pin whenever inserted in the said hole.

The connector comprises a receiving member adapted to be secured to the first tank by a pair of tank clamps, and an attachment member adapted to be secured to the second tank by another pair of tank clamps. The receiving member and attachment member are formed so as to mate with one another, such as an attachment member with a T-shaped cross section mating with a receiving member with a U-shaped cross section. The harness connector further comprises locking means for selectively locking and unlocking the attachment member to and from the receiving member, such as a quick release type connector pin.

摘要： An apparatus for releasably mounting an auxiliary compressed air tank to a breathing apparatus of the type having a main compressed air tank is provided. The apparatus includes a bracket having a pair of mounting legs connected in relatively closely spaced facing relation to one another defining a strap receiving area and means for clamping one of the mounting legs rigidly with the other mounting leg spaced outwardly therefrom. One of the mounting legs is selectively insertable and removable from a disposition between the main compressed air tank and a securing strap of a harness which supports the main compressed air tank on a user. The harness strap is received in the strap receiving area and the strap is tightened to hold the auxiliary tank relative to the main tank. To release the auxiliary tank, the strap is loosened and the mounting leg is moved to clear the strap.

摘要： A retention system particularly adapted to be used by divers which includes at least one lanyard having first and second ends, a first clip having a hook for securing thereon an implement, such as a dive light, slate, knife, etc., a slidable fastener associated with the first clip for sliding movement between opened and closed positions in the latter of which the implement can not be inadvertently dislodged from the hook, a second clip in the form of a loop having opposite ends between which is sandwiched an edge of a garment, such as a pocket edge of buoyancy control device (BCD), at least one fastener spanning the ends of the second clip and penetrating the garment edge to create a generally permanent connection between the second clip and the BCD pocket, and a releasable connector between the second clip and the second end of the lanyard whereby the implement is positively and permanently secured to the BCD and can be retained in the pocket thereof yet by quickly manually releasing the releasable connector, the implement can be quickly removed from (or reconnected to) the second clip.
