摘要： A surface treatment robot includes a chassis having forward and rear ends and a drive system carried by the chassis. The drive system includes right and left driven wheels and is configured to maneuver the robot over a cleaning surface. The robot includes a vacuum assembly, a collection volume, a supply volume, an applicator, and a wetting element, each carried by the chassis. The wetting element engages the cleaning surface to distribute a cleaning liquid applied to the surface by the applicator. The wetting element distributes the cleaning liquid along at least a portion of the cleaning surface when the robot is driven in a forward direction. The wetting element is arranged substantially forward of a transverse axis defined by the right and left driven wheels, and the wetting element slidably supports at least about ten percent of the mass of the robot above the cleaning surface.

The fluid collection system includes a recovery chamber defining a volume, a hollow structure (such as a modified skirt) having an internal chamber, and a vacuum source in fluid communication with the volume of the recovery chamber via the internal chamber and a vacuum line. The vacuum source draws a vacuum in the volume of the recovery chamber by drawing a gas from the volume of the recovery chamber through the internal chamber of the hollow structure and through the vacuum line.

摘要： A floor scrubbing machine for household use includes a box-like base structure that can move on a floor to be cleaned and accommodates at least one nozzle for dispensing a washing liquid and at least one rotating brush. The machine further includes at least one squeegee, arranged to the rear of the brush along a forward travel direction of the machine, and at least one intake, which cooperates with the squeegee for drying the floor. A rod-like handle is connected to the box-like base structure and can be tilted with respect to the floor in order to move the box-like base structure on the floor. The handle is connected to the box-like base structure by way of articulation elements adapted to transmit to the box-like base structure a rotation about an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the floor following a rotation imparted to the handle about its own axis.
