摘要: The disclosure relates to a powder and a method for generating a component by a powder-bed-based additive manufacturing method, such as laser melting. The powder includes particles having a core and a shell. The particles have an alloy composition of the component. The concentration of higher-melting alloy elements is greater in the shell and the concentration of lower-melting alloy elements is greater in the core, wherein the surface of the particles is higher in comparison with particles with a constant alloy composition. This advantageously prevents the particles from caking together in the powder bed during the production of the component, and so the powder bed may also be subjected to high preheating temperatures of up to 1000° C.

摘要: A method includes powder forging and machining a workpiece that is fractured to divide the workpiece into separate components. In a green form in which the workpiece is formed of compacted powdered metal and has a body that is generally shaped as a parallelepiped with a pair of end faces. The body defines a bore, a pair of V-notches and a pair of channels. The V-notches are formed into the bore parallel to the central axis of the bore and cooperate to define a separation plane. Each of the channels is formed in an associated one of the end faces at a location where the separation plane intersects the end face. During forging, the channels are closed but create a stress riser that aids in directing the fracture when the components are separated from one another.

The method may also include sintering the powder mixture after compacting the powder mixture. Before compacting the powder mixture, 80% of the particles of cobalt may have a particle diameter of approximately 4.4 μm to 17.5 μm.
