Abstract:
A human waste treatment system is disclosed that includes at least one waste receptacle such as an airline-style toilet, an anaerobic digester such as an induced bed reactor, and a gas conditioner. Human waste may be moved by a macerator pump. Inside the digester, bacteria digests organic solids to form biogas. The anaerobic digester may be operated at thermophilic temperatures to kill pathogenic bacteria in the waste and produce treated water. The gas conditioner purifies the biogas which may be used to power an electric generator. Treated water may be used to flush the system. The system may be mounted on a semi-truck trailer and transported. The system may be self-contained.
Abstract:
An automatic wheelchair-type feces cleaner without need of undressing and dressing comprises a wheelchair (1). A fully automatic treater (2) and adaptive pants (3) are provided on the wheelchair (1). The fully automatic treater (2) has an excretion duct (213), an excrement collection device (21), a negative pressure device (22), a positive pressure device (23), a hot water device (24), a hot air device (25) and a control device (26). The adaptive pants (3) are provided with an excrement collection region (33) at the crotch, which is provided with an excretion port (34), an inflating pipe (35), a hot water delivery pipe and a hot air delivery pipe. The inlet end of the excretion duct (213) is connected with the excretion port (34) of the collection region (33), and the outlet end of the excretion duct (213) is connected with the collection device (21) which is connected with the negative pressure device (22). The positive pressure device (23), the hot water device (24) and the hot air device (25) are correspondingly connected with the inflating pipe (35), the hot water delivery pipe and the hot air delivery pipe of the collection region (33) via a piping, respectively. With the automatic wheelchair-type feces cleaner without need of undressing and dressing, a user can defecate at any time, which largely expands the range of movement, and the user can defecate and clean up without the help from others.
Abstract:
A mobile sanitary urinal apparatus for truck drivers or others who do not have access to restroom facilities while traveling comprising a removable accumulation vessel mounted to interior or exterior of a motor vehicle is herein disclosed. The urinal is designed to be discretely used in the passenger compartment of tractor-trailer rigs, although it can be used discretely in almost any vehicle. It comprises a catheter-type receiver which attaches to plumbing thereby functioning as a urinal to receive urine from a user and directing it through the hose to a retention container. It is envisioned that the retention container would be emptied into a sanitary collection station or normal restroom when feasible. The urinal can be cleaned periodically using a provided sanitation kit with a flushing bulb and liquid cleanser that would be flushed through the system cleaning the valves, hoses, and container.
Abstract:
A fixed or permanently installed collapsible dry toilet that when mounted to movable walls as in a Recreational Vehicle or stationary walls, that can quickly be adjusted to any height with height stops for toddlers, 16.5 inches for the American with Disabilities Act of 1992 and 19 inches for seniors. When not in use the toilet seat is hinged so that the seat folds down and hugs the wall and is only 1.6 inches thick when collapsed and is intended for small spaces that can have multiple uses since the toilet can fold into the wall and not occupy any space. A biodegradable plastic bag is placed in the center of the seat and is supported by a replaceable fishnet basket. The plastic bag is of sufficient size to cover the entire toilet seat so that each user has a clean unused covering over the seat. Upon completion the disposable bag is tossed in any garbage receptacle. The toilet design is intended to never need cleaning, is easily adjusted to various heights from the floor to seat, and takes up minimal space when collapsed, can be operated in freezing temperatures and does not use water. The height can be modified easily for custom heights for short to tall people. The toilet is welded aluminum for durability and low weight under four pounds and the seat is covered with ⅛th inch closed foam insulation to isolate any uncomfortable conduction of heat from the aluminum seat and allows the human body to quickly warm the seat surface. This is a no leg implementation that leaves the floor below the toilet clear such that clear space under the toilet can be made available for other uses such as a shower, hall or cabinet.
Abstract:
A vacuum toilet assembly including a vacuum toilet and a vacuum tank (e.g. a combined holding and vacuum tank) uses a simple air pump to remove air from the tank to create a partial vacuum. The air pump is capable of achieving about ten inches mercury of vacuum in an empty 9.5 gallon vacuum tank in roughly one minute, and can pump at least about one liter of liquid per minute. A combined sound muffler and odor filter and/or rat-tail check valve and noise reducer, is/are connected to the outlet from the air pump. The pump comprises a powered reciprocating diaphragm pump having a reciprocating diaphragm powered by an electric motor rotating an eccentric at about 2300 rpm, and oppositely directed first and second disk valves. The disk valves have elastomeric disk valve elements die-cut from flat sheets which cooperate with perforated concave surfaces in a dividing wall in the pump housing. The reciprocating diaphragm has a total stroke length of about 0.3-0.33 inches.
Abstract:
An adapter for automatically dispensing any aromatic, deodorizing, cleansing, sanitizing fluid directly into the bowl of a recreational vehicle toilet as a result of operating either the bowl rinse or the bowl flush control. An apparatus adapted to toilets installed in recreational vehicles, travel trailers, an marine craft. Because it passively senses the presence of toilet inlet rinse water flow, the apparatus achieves its objective without making modifications to, and is totally independent of, the RV plumbing system. The adapter utilizes an electronic control unit which employs the electrically conductive property of water to detect the flush and the refill operations of the RV toilet. Upon detecting fresh water entering the toilet, the electronic control unit energizes an electric solenoid valve which releases a metered amount of chemical additive fluid directly into the toilet bowl. The chemical additive flow rate is fully adjustable by the user, and the chemical fluid reservoir is refillable.
