    摘要: The invention relates to a large manipulator, especially for truck mounted concrete pumps. A chassis bears a mast base rotatable about a vertical pivot and an articulated mast consisting of at least three arms. The arms can be pivoted to a limited extent about horizontal, mutually parallel axes in pairs in relation to the adjacent base or arm by means of a drive system. The articulated mast is actuated via a remote control device with control levers. In order to ensure a clear allocation of the movements of the control lever and the articulated mast, the invention proposes that the remote control device have a computer-supported co-ordinate transmitter controllable via the control lever for the drive systems via which, in one path of adjustment of the control lever, the drive systems for the pivots can be actuated independently of the drive system for the pivot of the mast base with the accomplishment of an extending or retracting movement of the articulated mast for a predetermined height of the tip of the mast. In the other path of adjustment of the control lever perpendicular to the first path, a rotary movement of the articulated mast about the pivot is triggered via the co-ordinate transmitter independently of the movement in the axes with a predetermined height of the tip of the articulated mast.

    摘要: An apparatus for delivering sludge-type matter from a supply line has a manifold conduit rotatably coupled on one end to the supply line and adapted to receive matter flowing therefrom. A distributor plate includes a plurality of ports extending therethrough. A plurality of distributor conduits are each coupled on one end to a respective port on one side of the distributor plate to receive matter therefrom. A rotating plate is rotatably supported on the other side of the distributor plate and coupled to the other end of the manifold conduit. The rotating plate is adapted to rotate relative to the distributor plate to align the manifold conduit with a respective distributor conduit to direct the flow of matter therethrough. The rotating plate has a plurality of stop cams formed on the peripheral edge thereof, each corresponding in position to a respective distributor conduit. A catch member is biased against the peripheral edge of the rotating plate and, thus, is adapted to permit rotation of the rotating plate in one direction, but prevent rotation in the other direction upon abutting a respective stop cam. The manifold conduit is aligned with a respective distributor conduit upon the catch member abutting a respective stop cam.

    摘要: A powder feeder for dispensing controlled amounts of powder into a gas stream in a supersonic plasma spraying environment utilizes a stir spindle and a feed impeller mounted on a rotatable first drive shaft at the bottom of a powder cannister to agitate and mix the powder and then dispense the powder in controlled amounts from an aperture in the bottom of the cannister as the first drive shaft is driven by a motor. The controlled amounts of powder dispensed through the aperture in the bottom of the cannister are directed by a conduit through an aperture in the upper end of a housing and into a plurality of slots circumferentially formed about the outer periphery of a feedwheel mounted within the housing to be rotatably driven by a second drive shaft which is also coupled to be driven by the motor. The slots which are uniform in size have bottom surfaces and opposite side surfaces formed by opposite vanes extending upwardly from the upper surface of the feedwheel between a first hollow tube mounted in a fixed location relative to the feedwheel so as to direct a gas flow through the slots and an opposite second hollow tube disposed to receive the gas flow and the powder loaded into the slots. The constant action of the stir spindle, the feed impeller and the feedwheel provides a relatively constant, uniform supply of the powder to the gas stream, even in the face of varying operating conditions.

    摘要: A flexible hose for transport of concrete and the like includes a hardened helical wire to prevent collapse under negative pressure and bending of the hose. The hose is provided with an end coupling having a hardened inner shank with the outer surface serrated or the like to provide firm interengagement with the inner hose surface grooved for interconnection by the conventional releasable coupler. The hose end is specially processed to remove the hardness from the helical wire. The hose may be abraded adjacent the location of the inner end of the shank and a current passed through the end portion of the wire. The hose is forced over the shank and an outer clamp device forces the hose with the soft helical wire onto the shank and firmly affixes the hardened shank to the hose.
