摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a sheet conveyer, a main body, a movable unit movable with respect to a guide position at which the sheet is guided, a position detector outputting a position detection signal, and a controller configured to determine whether the movable unit is in the guide position based on the position detection signal, perform a feeding execution process in which controlling the conveyer to feed the sheet by a feeding amount and stop the sheet if the sheet is in a feeding area and if determining that the movable unit is not in the guide position, and perform a feeding inexecution process in which controlling the conveyer not to feed the sheet by the feeding amount and stop the sheet if the sheet is in the feeding area and if determining that the movable unit is in the guide position.

摘要： An image recording apparatus, includes: an accommodation portion configured to accommodate a sheet; a supply mechanism configured to supply the sheet from the accommodation portion; a recording portion configured to record an image on the sheet supplied by the supply mechanism; and a first discharged tray arranged above the accommodation portion, and configured to support the sheet on which the image had been recorded by the recording portion. The accommodation portion includes: a body portion configured to accommodate the sheet; and a second discharged tray provided for the body portion and configured to move to a first position and to a second position in which the second discharged tray is positioned higher than the second discharged tray in the first position. The second discharged tray supports the sheet on which the image had been recorded, together with the first discharged tray in the second position.

摘要： An image forming apparatus capable of improving productivity in a print job mixedly involving single-sided printing and double-sided printing. Sheets are fed one by one to an image forming section. When double-sided printing is to be performed, a sheet having an image formed on the first side thereof by the image forming section is re-fed thereto so as to have an image formed on the second side thereof. When a sheet for double-sided printing exists, which is posterior in page order to a sheet for single-sided printing, an image forming order is changed such that the first side of the sheet for double-sided printing is subjected to image formation prior to the sheet for single-sided printing. When it is predicted that a state will occur in which the sheet for single-sided printing cannot be fed, the image forming order is not changed.

The image recording unit includes a feed guide defining a first conveying path; an arm disposed between the recording unit and the tray, the arm having a feed roller rotatably disposed at a free end and configured to feed the sheet in the tray to the first conveying path. The arm pivots between a first arm position, and a second arm position. The return guide pivots between a first return guide position, and a second return guide position. A space occupied by the return guide in the first return guide position overlaps a space occupied by the arm in the second arm position. The return guide is in the second return guide position when the arm is in the second arm position which is retracted from an insertion space occupied by the tray.

摘要： An automatic document feeding device (ADF) suited for being configured in a body of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus has a first and second power sources to drive the ADF to transmit a paper in or out of the body. The ADF includes a limiting structure with a limiting space, a swinging member and a blocking member. The first and second power sources drive the limiting structure and the swinging member to swing respectively. The blocking member has a first end connected to the swinging member and a second end extending toward the limiting structure. When the limiting structure is at a second position and the swinging member swings toward a third position, the second end is trapped into the limiting space. When the limiting structure moves toward a first position and the swinging member swings toward the third position, the second end escapes from the limiting space.
