Abstract:
A locking security lid incorporates a cylindrical housing having extendable pistons and contact pads for contacting the interior surface of an access pipe, the contact pads may be retracted to a withdrawn position wherein the contact pads are within the outside diameter of the cylindrical housing. The cylindrical housing is provided with a locking bolt to will be secured to the cylindrical housing through a stanchion and having a keyed bolt head to prevent removal of the locking bolt without a socket wrench having a corresponding slot pattern. The contact pads are provided with a locking interference surface to prevent relative movement between an access pipe and the contact pad when the contact pads are extended.
Abstract:
A blocking configuration of an oil pressure circuit hole includes a plug screwed together with an aperture end portion of the oil pressure circuit hole provided to a main body. The plug includes: a shaft portion; an external thread portion disposed on a leading end of the shaft portion; an O-ring mounted on an outer periphery of a base end portion of the shaft portion and pressed between the outer periphery of the shaft portion and an inner periphery of the oil pressure circuit hole to seal them; a flange portion having an external diameter larger than that of the shaft portion and disposed on a part of a base end side of a storage groove on which the O-ring is mounted; and a polygonal column-shaped head portion on which a tightening tool is mounted and disposed on a part of a base end side of the flange portion.
Abstract:
A pneumatic test plug and inflation assembly for the same are provided. The pneumatic test plug may include an inflatable bladder formed by a bladder wall that is elastically deformable, the bladder wall having at least one open end. A housing may be disposed in the open end of the bladder wall, the housing having a mounting surface. An inflation valve may be mounted to the mounting surface, with the inflation valve having an interior end in fluid communication with an interior area of the bladder. The inflation valve may define a main air passageway through which air is introduced into the interior area. The mounting surface may be recessed into the interior area of the bladder relative to the open end in the bladder wall such that the housing defines a cavity within the inflatable bladder.
Abstract:
An apparatus for sealing an open end of a pipe includes an external clamp for frictionally being secured to the exterior surface of the pipe and an internal clamp for frictionally being secured to the interior surface of the pipe. A sealing plate, connected to one or both of the clamps seals the open end of the pipe. The apparatus further includes a means for pressurizing the interior of the pipe. A method of sealing and pressurizing the pipe is also provided.
Abstract:
A pipe coupling can be coupled with one of its ends to a pipe, and has a clamping band and a tightening device for tightening the clamping band. A cover is provided on the other end of the pipe coupling, and the cover is inserted in the clamping band and can be secured by tightening the tightening device of the clamping band. The invention further relates to the use of the pipe coupling.
Abstract:
A male fastening tool body includes a body part, a flange part which has a seat surface, an annular concave part formed between the body part and the seat surface, and a resinous ring-shaped member disposed at the annular concave part. The annular concave part has an annular concave peripheral edge portion. The resinous ring-shaped member has an annular projected part which fills almost the entire annular concave part and a lower surface of which is projected downward beyond the seat surface and an annular peripheral part, having a tapered bottom surface or a curved bottom surface, which is formed between the annular projected part and the outer edge of the resinous ring-shaped member and becomes gradually thinner, with an outer edge of the resinous ring-shaped member being located at an outer edge of the annular concave peripheral edge portion or slightly toward the side of the body part.
Abstract:
A closure element for closing the ends of pipes, in particular steel pipes, having a circular base cover whose outer diameter corresponds at most to the outer diameter of the pipe, having a side which faces towards the pipe interior and comprises at least two elastic clamping elements which in the assembled condition are supported on the inner surface of the pipe and clamp the base cover therewith. In order to permit universal usage, the closure element comprises means for selectively adjusting/changing the radial position of the clamping elements on the base cover.
Abstract:
A closure assembly for terminating an end of a pipe (4) has an end-cap (4) holding and having fluid-tight connection to a mutually coaxial cylindrical plug (2) and circular collar (3). The plug (2) and the collar (3) are configurable between respective engaged and disengaged configurations and mutually spaced to provide an annular space therebetween when the plug (2) and collar (3) are in their disengaged configurations. The annular space is arranged to receive an end of a pipe (1) arranged coaxially with the plug (2) and collar (3), the plug (2) and collar (3) being respectively slidable into and over the end of the pipe (1). The plug (2), when in its engaged configuration, grips the inner face of said pipe (41) and to provide a fluid tight seal and the collar (3), when in its engaged configuration, grips the outer face of the pipe (1) and to provide a fluid tight seal.
