Abstract:
A housing and a rotor are electrically connected to each other by the flexible flat cable accommodated in an annular space formed between the housing and the rotor; an opening portion of a carrier disposed in the annular space and having a C-shape in a plan view is formed to allow an inversion portion of the flexible flat cable to pass through; and a lubricating members are provided for the sliding surfaces of the carrier.
Abstract:
A hinge connector includes a pair of tubular members. Each of the tubular members has a tubular section formed with a hollow portion, and a fitting section formed with a receiving space for receiving a counterpart connector. The tubular members are coupled with each other so as to be turnable relative to each other. The hinge connector further includes a flexible conductor. The flexible conductor has connect portions at its both ends and a flexible intermediate portion connecting the connect portions. The flexible intermediate portion of the conductor is turned and arranged in the hollow portions of the tubular sections, while the connect portions thereof are disposed in the corresponding receiving spaces of the fitting sections so as to be connected to the corresponding counterpart connectors, respectively.
Abstract:
A rotary connector wherein a free rotation between both housings can be locked or unlocked in a simple manner. A holding member is formed integrally with a first housing through a thin-walled portion, while engaging projections are formed integrally with a second housing, and at the rotary connector manufacturing stage, by aligning both housings exactly with each other and thereafter inserting a tapping screw threadedly into a support portion of the holding member, the tapping screw can be brought into abutment with both engaging projections. Further, at the time of mounting the rotary connector into a steering system, a free rotation between both housings is ensured by cutting the holding member at the thin-walled portion.
Abstract:
An electrical and mechanical cable connector is constructed for maintaining an electrical grounding circuit in electrical installations on board of an aircraft. For this purpose the connector has two bodies positioned coaxially to each other and rotatable to each other but restrained against relative axial movement by a spring ring. One of the two bodies has a plurality of contact springs formed by cutting axial slots integrally into a portion of the one body. The body with the contact springs rests at least partly in or on the respective support body. Both bodies have a common central axis and contact pressures are effective radially inwardly or radially outwardly relative to the common central axis and are axially distributed along the central axis, whereby both bodies are electrically interconnected to maintain the grounding circuit.
Abstract:
A modular fitting open slit, which is open at its rear end part, for freely inserting a modular plug into and removing it from said modular fitting open slit is provided at a rear end part of a modem card, and said open slit is provided with inner walls which function as a guide part for setting a direction of insertion of a modular plug, an extreme end position setting part for positioning an extreme end of said modular plug which is inserted, a return prevention part for engaging with said modular plug inserted to prevent it from coming off and terminals which function as a terminal connecting part which is electrically connected to the terminals of the modular plug. Said open slit is provided with L-shaped guide members for guiding insertion of said modular plug with their base sides set to be pivotally turnable and said guide members are formed to be freely remountable in said open slit. For inserting the modular plug into the open slit, the guide members are turned to make their L-shaped inner walls serve as the guide surfaces for positioning insertion of the modular plug. Thus the present invention enables to easily and accurately insert the modular plug insert into said open slit and provide a communication card which is not obstructive even when it is kept loaded in a personal computer or the like.
Abstract:
An interconnector electrically unites a rotatable air bag with a stationary air bag sensor. The interconnector has a hub rotatably associated with a housing to define a radial space including one or more complementary first and second electrically conductive rings. The rings are united with one or more connectors to complete the electrical pathway from the sensor to the air bag.
Abstract:
A low profile rotatable electrical plug includes a housing and a set of conductive prongs positioned on one face of the housing for insertion into a conventional wall outlet. A power cord exits the housing in a direction generally perpendicular to the prongs such that the cord parallels the wall when the plug is inserted into a wall outlet. A rotative coupling device mounted within the housing provides a rotative electrical connection between the power cord and the prongs. The rotative coupling device includes first and second sets of conductors carried by respective conductor support plates. The conductors in the first support plate are electrically connected to respective conductors in the power cord, and the conductors in the second support plate are electrically connected to respective prongs. The first support plate is fixedly mounted within the housing and the second support rotates within the housing relative to the first support plate. The prongs extend from the second support plate and through an aperture in the housing for rotation relative to the cord. The plug further includes structure for releasably locking the position of the power cord with respect to the prongs.
Abstract:
The known arrangements of low-voltage energy distribution include connecting elements for busbar trunking systems with which, while a change of direction is possible, the currents are limited. The new device is intended to make it possible to easily change directions, even with high currents. To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the busbars at the junction site are placed in such a way around a common tensioning element that they can be rotated.
Abstract:
A floating type electric connector adapted to be mounted on a circuit board comprising a housing having an integrally formed movable housing portion, a stationary housing portion, and a resilient joint portion connecting the four corners of the stationary housing portion to the corresponding four corners of the movable housing portion and a plurality of female terminals attached to each housing Each female terminal comprises a contact section and a base section joined together by an intermediate resilient section. The contact section of the female terminal is attached to the movable housing portion while the base section is attached to the stationary housing portion, thereby permitting the floating of the movable housing portion with respect to the stationary housing portion.
Abstract:
A plurality of optical fibers (14-14E) are interconnected by using connectors each comprising an optoelectronic device (13-13E) adapted to be connected to an end of each optical fiber for converting optical signals to electrical signals and for converting electrical signals to optical signals. Each connector has a first contact (12-12E) having a cylindrical plug end and a cylindrical socket end located on a common axis and a transverse conductor (21) extending transversely to the axis (20) from the first contact and connected to the optoelectronic device of the connector. The plug end of each contact is adapted to fit snugly within the socket end of another first contact, whereby all of the contacts may be connected and arranged along the common axis. Each of the contacts is free to rotate with respect to other contacts to which it is connected; this permits the various optical fibers to extend in different radial directions from the axis. In a preferred embodiment, each connector further comprises second (23) and third (24) hollow cylindrical contacts surrounding the first contact (22). Hollow cylindrical insulators ( 26, 27) separate and insulate the first, second and third contacts, and appropriate slots permit transverse conductors (29, 31, 32) of the contacts to be connected to the optoelectronic devices (41). In this manner, each connector interconnects electrical ground and power lines, as well as the optical signal lines of the various optical fiber cables (40).
