摘要: An apparatus for treating a tissue site includes a dressing, an oxygen source, a valve, and a negative-pressure source. The dressing is configured to be sealed around the tissue site. The oxygen source is fluidly coupled to the dressing and configured to provide a low flow of oxygen. A first port of the valve is fluidly coupled to the dressing and the valve moves between a closed position preventing flow through the valve and an open position permitting flow through the valve. The negative-pressure source is fluidly coupled to a second port of the valve and provides negative pressure to the second port of the valve at a non-therapeutic level. The valve separates the negative-pressure source from the dressing and selectively opens when a positive pressure is applied on an upstream side of the valve.

The delivery devices can be activated by actuation mechanisms to vaporize thin films comprising a nicotine meta-salicylate. More particularly, this disclosure relates to thin films of nicotine salt with meta salicylic acid for the treatment of nicotine craving and for effecting smoking cessation.

摘要: The present invention provides a coating formation method with which adhesion between skin and a coating formed by electrostatic spraying is enhanced. The coating formation method of the present invention includes a liquid agent applying step of applying a liquid agent containing one or more selected from water, polyols and oils that are in a liquid form at 20° C., and an electrostatic spraying step of electrostatically spraying a composition directly on skin to form a coating. The liquid agent applying step and the electrostatic spraying step are performed in this order or in a reversed order. The composition includes a component (a) and a component (b) below: (a) one or more volatile substances selected from the group consisting of water, alcohols, and ketones, and (b) a polymer having a coating formation ability.

摘要: A cartridge assembly for modifying a treating surface, having a body that defines a reservoir that has a standpipe. The reservoir stores a treatment composition. The body comprises a reservoir wall and a die wall that collectively define a reservoir volume. The standpipe is defined by a standpipe wall that extends into the reservoir from a standpipe base, wherein the standpipe base comprises a portion of the die wall. The standpipe base and the standpipe wall collectively define a standpipe volume. The ratio of the reservoir volume to the standpipe volume is from about 50:1 to about 3:1, preferably from about 20:1 to about 4:1, and more preferably about 8:1. Further, the ratio of the surface area of the die wall to the standpipe base is from about 1.1:1 to about 3:1.
