    摘要: A latch release backup system for a latch assembly of a motor-vehicle door is provided with a key cylinder configured to receive a vehicle key and which is rotatably mounted to the motor-vehicle door, and a mechanical coupling arrangement mounted within the motor-vehicle door and operable to convert a rotation of the key cylinder into actuation of an actuation group of the latch assembly for causing latch release. The key cylinder defines an electrical interface socket designed to receive the vehicle key. An electronic control unit is mounted within the motor-vehicle door and is electrically connected to the electrical interface socket to receive identification information (Id) from the vehicle key when plugged into the electrical interface socket. The mechanical coupling arrangement is normally disengaged from the actuation group of the latch assembly, and the electronic control unit is configured to control selective engagement of the mechanical coupling arrangement to the actuation group of the latch assembly based on the identification information (Id) received from the vehicle key.

    摘要: The exemplary embodiments herein provide a motorcycle saddlebag security enclosure assembly having an enclosure with a substantially flat top panel, an access door substantially parallel to the top panel, a bottom panel positioned below the top panel, and a plurality of side panels which connect between the top panel and bottom panel. Embodiments further contain a base adapted for removable attachment to the enclosure and having a substantially flat base plate, and a plurality of legs extending downwardly from the base plate. Preferably, a hook extending upwardly from the top panel and a pass-through aperture is placed on the same side of the enclosure as the hook. A C-shaped base element is placed beneath the base and near a central portion. A U-shaped channel extends below the top panel and accepts a sidewall of the access door.

    摘要: Disclosed is a to a latch mechanism that is operatively connected to a handle assembly or similar release device for a drawer, cabinet or other similar item. The latch mechanism is particularly useful for a drawer in a vehicle, where it may be subject to movement or situations where it is not level. The latch mechanism includes a keeper and a pin that is fitted to a bracket allowing sliding movement of the pin. The pin is biased towards an extended position and may selectively be located within the keeper when in the extended position so as to latch the bracket to the keeper. The pin is selectively engaged by an actuator so that the actuator may move the pin from the extended position to a retracted position, but the pin is also able to move from the extended position to the retracted position without effecting the actuator.
