    摘要: Some embodiments provide a method of providing distributed storage services to a host computer from a network interface card (NIC) of the host computer. At the NIC, the method accesses a set of one or more external storages operating outside of the host computer through a shared port of the NIC that is not only used to access the set of external storages but also for forwarding packets not related to an external storage. In some embodiments, the method accesses the external storage set by using a network fabric storage driver that employs a network fabric storage protocol to access the external storage set. The method presents the external storage as a local storage of the host computer to a set of programs executing on the host computer. In some embodiments, the method presents the local storage by using a storage emulation layer on the NIC to create a local storage construct that presents the set of external storages as a local storage of the host computer.

    摘要: A computer-implemented method includes monitoring, by a power monitor on a computer device, for a peripheral device connection. The peripheral device connection connecting a peripheral device to an input/output port of the computer device. The input/output port is configured to provide power from a power supply of the computer device to the peripheral device. In response to the monitoring for the peripheral device connection identifying the peripheral device connection, the method includes determining, by the power monitor, a device type and a negotiated power of the peripheral device as connected. The power monitor determines whether the negotiated power of the peripheral device as connected matches expected power information. In response to determining the negotiated power of the peripheral device does not match the expected power information, the power monitor takes action on the computer device.

A memory is used for containing a software module for carrying out at least one operating feature of the apparatus. A video compression hardware and software subsystem is used for providing 4K video transfer between the apparatus and the target device. A USB-C enables video signals and serial data to be communicated between the apparatus and the target device.

    摘要: A brownfield security gateway is configured to support a trusted execution environment (TEE) that employs cryptographic and physical security—which forms a trusted cyber physical system—to protect sensitive transmissions on route to a controllable device. The gateway may be implemented with a System on Chip (SoC) that utilizes an application layer gateway to filter content within a transmission. When the application layer gateway authorizes the transmission, the transmission is forwarded to a trusted peripheral device that is configured with communication transport protocols, and the trusted peripheral device transfers the transmission to the controllable device. The trusted peripheral device and the controllable device are physically protected by, for example, protected distribution systems. Accordingly, the trusted peripheral device functions as a gateway between the SoC and the controllable device.

    摘要: A device may include an array of data processing engines (DPEs) on a die and an event broadcast network. Each of the DPEs includes a core, a memory module, event logic in at least one of the core or the memory module, and an event broadcast circuitry coupled to the event logic. The event logic is capable of detecting an occurrence of one or more events in the core or the memory module. The event broadcast circuitry is capable of receiving an indication of a detected event detected by the event logic. The event broadcast network includes interconnections between the event broadcast circuitry of the DPEs. Detected events can trigger or initiate various responses, such as debugging, tracing, and profiling.

    摘要: Example approaches for processing task deployment in adapter devices and accelerators, are described. In an example, a service request is received by an adapter device. The service request is indicative of a service associated with a virtual multi-layer network switch. An accelerator may be integrated to the adapter device or coupled to the adapter device. A set of processing tasks associated with the service is identified based on the service request. A processing task instance corresponding to at least one of the set of processing tasks is deployed in one of the adapter device and the accelerator, based on predefined configuration information. The predefined configuration information includes policies for executing each of the set processing tasks in one of the adapter device and the accelerator.
