    摘要: A movable operating member 5 is swingably borne by the base 1, and its distal end is moved upward by allowing its proximal end 5b to be pressed downward. The movable contact 3 is separated from the stationary contact 2 upward by moving the distal end of the movable operating member 5 upward. The proximal end of the movable operating member 5 is pressed downward by a guide pin 6 in response to a reverse action of a bimetal 7. When a reset shaft 8 is pushed upward, the movable contact 3 is pressed upward, and the guide pin 6 is pressed upward so that the bimetal 7 can be returned to an initial state.

    摘要: A safety switch device includes a case with a switch pivotally engaged with an open top of the case and a ramp defined in an inside of the case. Two terminals are extended from the bottom of the case and a bimetallic plate having a first end fixed to one of the terminals. A distal end of the bimetallic plate is located above the other terminal. A pull rod is pivotally connected to the switch so as to lift the bimetallic plate by a hook portion thereof when switching to “OFF” status. A control member has a first end pivotally connected to the switch member and a probe extended from a second end of the control member. The probe is movably engaged with the ramp and the second end of the control member is movably located above the second end of the bimetallic plate.

The insertion plates are connected with the conductive wires in the housing. The security device is disposed between at least one insertion plate and one conductive wire and includes a casing, a disconnector seat disposed therein, a thermal bimetal blade disposed on the disconnector seat, a movable contact disposed on the bimetal blade, a fixed contact disposed in the casing and connected with the conductive wire to naturally contact with the movable contact, and an insulative separating structure. When an excessively large current passes through the electric appliance, the bimetal plate is bent to separate the movable contact from the fixed contact and open the circuit. At this time, the insulative separating structure is inserted into a space between the movable and fixed contacts so as to keep the circuit open.

    摘要: A thermostatic switch has a housing and a temperature responsive bimetallic disc located in the housing and responsive to a predetermined temperature for exerting a flexing action. A fixed contact member is located in the cavity along with a movable contact member which is biased and movable between a switch-closed position in which it makes electrical contact with the fixed contact member and a switch-open position in which it is spaced from the fixed contact member. An actuating member is located in the housing, and is responsive to flexing movement of the disc for moving the movable contact member from the switch-closed position to the switch-open position. A hook portion is mounted within the cavity of the housing, the hook portion engaging an arm portion of the movable contact member upon the movement of the movable contact member to its switch-open position and entering an opening of the arm portion for retaining and maintaining the movable contact member in its switch open position.

    摘要: The invention relates to a contact breaker of the type that includes a slider (22, FIG. 1) that slides longitudinally within a housing to allow a moving contact 50 (FIG. 3) on a sudden actin bimetal strip (44) to pass through a slider opening (62) against a fixed contact (40), or to keep the contacts apart after they have briefly moved apart. The state of the contact breaker is indicated by a signalling electrical circuit which includes a moving contact (80, FIG. 1) mounted on the slider and having a pair of clips that connect coplanar signalling contacts (68, 70). The slider has a lower extension (92, FIG. 4) that prevents arcing between power contacts. The housing includes two half-casings (16, 18, FIG. 7) joined at a longitudinal joint 19, one carrying power terminals (32, 34) and the other carrying signalling terminals (74, 76). The slider keeps the contacts (50, 40, FIG. 3) separate even if the front housing surface is blocked.

    摘要: A thermically controlled electrical switching element which is in the form of a temperature regulator or a temperature limiter. On a socket are arranged, in parallel orientation, a bimetallic spring plate, and a steel plate deflectable to both sides. The bimetallic spring plate is attached at its periphery in such a way that centrally, above a transition temperature, it can deflect in a first direction, and below a reverse transition temperature, it can deflect in a second, opposite direction. The steel plate attached at the rim together with the bimetallic spring plate, upon deflection of the spring plate, is also displaced in the first direction, and thereby, by means of a control element bearing upon its center, opens a switch contact interrupting the current flow to an electrical heating element. In order to enable manual opening and closing of the switch contact pair within the switching element, in a simple manner, a control arm is placed in the rim area of the steel plate, whose control end is rigidly attached to the rim area of the steel plate, and whose actuating end either constitutes a manually operable push button, or is connected to such a push button.

    摘要: The present thermal fuse comprises an electrically and thermally conductive housing for hermetically sealing the switching parts and a fusible, temperature sensitive pellet in said housing. The pellet is preferably molded to have a cylindrical shape or body provided with one cavity or several cavities and assembled in the housing, whereby the outside pellet surface contacts the inner surface of the housing. The cavity or cavities take up about 5 to 50 percent of the whole cross sectional area of the pellet. The pellet is made of a mixture of organic and inorganic substances preferably so as to accelerate the fusing function of the pellet when the temperature rises above the melting point of the major component of the organic materials. The cavity or cavities of the pellet greatly facilitate a large and rapid shrinkage in volume and the addition of inorganic substance provides a large thermal conductivity of the pellet, whereby a rapid and exact fuse action is accomplished.
