摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a dual-polarization antenna array that includes: a conductive structure having an aperture pattern including at least one first aperture and at least one second aperture, the first aperture(s) being directly interconnected with at least one second aperture. At least one first coupling element is connected to a first antenna feed line to excite a first electrical field having a first polarization. At least one second coupling element is connected to a second antenna feed line to excite a second electrical field having a second polarization. Each first coupling element is at least partially juxtaposed with one first aperture, allowing said first electrical field to be transmitted and/or received through said first aperture. Each second coupling element being at least partially juxtaposed with one second aperture, allowing said second electrical field to be transmitted and/or received through said second aperture.

摘要: Antenna arrays may include a first plurality of radiating elements responsive to respective pairs of first radio frequency signals and a second plurality of radiating elements responsive to respective pairs of second radio frequency signals. A shared radiating element is also provided, which is responsive to a corresponding pair of first radio frequency signals and a corresponding pair of second radio frequency signals. This shared radiating element may be equivalent in configuration to the first and second pluralities of radiating elements, or may have a unique configuration relative to the first and second pluralities of radiating elements. The first plurality of radiating elements and the second plurality of radiating elements can be aligned as respective first and second spaced-apart and collinear columns of radiating elements, with the shared radiating element disposed about equidistant between the first and second columns.

The electronic device includes a wafer, a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) fabricated in the wafer, an antenna interposer disposed on a surface of the wafer, an antenna structure fabricated in the antenna interposer, the antenna structure comprising a first conductive pattern with a first electrical length and a second conductive pattern with a second electrical length, a switch formed in the RFIC and electrically connected to at least one of the first conductive pattern or the second conductive pattern based on a frequency band of a signal being transmitted or received by the RFIC, and a through hole formed in at least part of the wafer or the antenna interposer and electrically connecting the RFIC and the antenna structure.

摘要: An antenna comprising: a longitudinal support member for supporting components of the antenna and a method of assembling such an antenna is disclosed. The components supported by the longitudinal member comprise: at least one signal feed probe configured to capacitively supply a signal to a corresponding at least one radiating patch; the at least one radiating patch mounted to at least partially wraparound the longitudinal support member; and signal supply circuitry for supplying a signal to the at least one signal feed. The signal supply circuitry is mounted on an outer surface of the inner longitudinal support member; and the longitudinal support member is formed of a conductive material and forms a ground plane for the antenna.

摘要: An antenna system includes a substrate of a dielectric material. A conductive feed joins a number of conductive patches arranged in a line forming an array. The conductive patches are spaced from one another and the array is disposed on the substrate. The array has first and second sides. A first ground plane is disposed on the first side of the array and is spaced apart from the array. A number of conducting pillars ground the substrate to the first ground plane, and the conducting pillars define a second ground plane on the substrate. The array is configured to radiate a radiation pattern characterized by a first beam width in a first plane and a second beam width in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane, wherein the first beam width is wider than the second beam width.
