Abstract:
A door window regulator for vertically moving a door window glass of a vehicle includes a wire which is stretched between upper and lower pulleys respectively disposed at the upper and lower portions of a door such that the wire forms a closed loop. A wire hook is secured to a portion of the wire between the upper and lower pulleys and further secured to a wire mounting bracket which is secured to the window glass. The wire mounting bracket has a box-like portion into which the wire hook is inserted. The wire hook is prevented from coming off by a bent portion which projects from a portion of the wire mounting bracket. A synthetic resin is applied to the respective contact surfaces of the wire hook and the wire mounting bracket for the purpose of cushioning.
Abstract:
A sliding door assembly is provided for closing an opening in a wall which prevents contact between the seal between the door and wall during horizontal sliding movement of the door, but provides for the door to move downwardly and inwardly at the end of its horizontal travel so as to effect sealing engagement between the door and wall. A track, including a pair of spaced contoured ramps, is provided connected to the wall adjacent the top of the door, and two V-shaped rollers are mounted to the top of the door and engage the track. The rollers are spaced from each other the same distance that the contoured ramps are spaced from each other. A bridge is provided at the rear contoured ramp. The rollers are asymmetrical, and of different hand, so that the leading roller engages the bridge at the second contoured ramp, but the trailing roller engages the second contoured ramp. The rollers are spaced apart a distance less than the width of the opening in the wall.
Abstract:
A novel crane trolley has four guiding pulleys lying on opposed upper and lower guiding surfaces, arranged diagonally to eliminate the need for having eight guiding pulleys. On each side of the trolley are upper and lower guiding pulleys, with the lower in front on one side and the upper in front on the other side. The pulleys may be mounted under spring tension. Two such trolleys may be hinged together to support heavy loads.
Abstract:
A gate assembly including an upstanding frame member, an elongated main support member affixed to the frame member, an elongated intermediate support member capable of telescoping into the main support member, the intermediate support member including vertically disposed, spaced support sections, a plurality of rollers mounted on the vertical support sections, the rollers being rotatable on horizontal shafts extending from the vertical support sections, certain of the rollers extending slightly above the top edges of the vertical support sections and other of the rollers extending slightly below the bottom edges of the vertical support sections, an elongated inner support member having a generally T-shaped cross section with the top portion of the T member being disposed in a generally horizontal position, the inner support member being capable of telescoping into the intermediate support section, the horizontal portion of the T member having a thickness slightly smaller than the vertical spacing between the upper and lower rollers of the intermediate support section, the vertical portion of the T member having a thickness slightly smaller than the spacing between the opposed spaced horizontal lower support sections of the main support member, and mechanism for suspending a gate below the inner support member.
Abstract:
An insulated sectional overhead garage door comprising a plurality of pivotally connected door panels, each having an interior cavity filled with insulating material. Weather stripping is provided between adjacent door panels to prevent heat loss. One feature of the invention pertains to the quick mounting of the rollers to the panels by means of a pair of bushings and a spacer retainer. Another feature pertains to the movable vertical track for retaining the door in the closed position. The track is movable downwardly and toward the door jamb in response to movement of the door to its lowermost position. The upper end of the door is retained in a track having adjustment means for selectively adjusting the distance between the door header and the upper end of the door. The vertical track is movably mounted on an L-shaped frame member constructed of heat insulating material which is securely mounted to the door jamb.
Abstract:
A horizontally sliding seal tight door is provided for a warewasher. The leading and trailing edges of the door are formed to mate with guide members secured to the sides of the door opening. When in the closed position the edges of the door in combination with the guide members direct the water contacting the door into the warewasher.
Abstract:
A sliding door is suspended from a top rail for movement across a doorway and is guided at the bottom by a J-shaped rail mounted to the side of the building adjacent the doorway and extending upwardly into a downwardly opening channel provided along the bottom of the door.
Abstract:
A structural support mounting means for precision, telescoping, linear slide mechanisms of the type having an outer slide member and an inner slide member, each being held in sliding relationship by ball bearings or the like, the balls being operably disposed in a ball retainer between the inner and outer slide members. The structural support mounting means is defined by an elongated rail having oppositely disposed channels formed longitudinally therein, to structurally support and receive a pair of oppositely arranged slide mechanisms, wherein each adjacent slide member is affixed to a central, load-carrying bracket for longitudinal movement of the load secured to the bracket thereof, and wherein an elongated, structural-reinforcing bar member is adapted to be received and fixedly mounted within the inner slide member. Both the rail and the reinforcing bar members are formed from an extruded aluminum material whereby structural strength, load-carrying capacity, and extended, load-carrying capacity are established with respect to the outer and inner slide members.
Abstract:
Control apparatus for a device for hermetically closing an opening in a wall, which device includes a leaf movable from a hermetically closed position to a disengaged position in which it is slidable along a rail. The control apparatus includes a drive mechanism for moving the leaf from the hermetically closed position to the disengaged position and a linear electric motor for sliding the leaf along the rail, the linear motor including a first element secured to the leaf and a second element secured to the wall.
Abstract:
Two sliding doors or window sashes are supported on tracks of two rockers longitudinally juxtaposed on the bottom member of the door or window frame and each carrying two parallel tracks, the two pairs of tracks on respective rockers being aligned when both rockers are in an opening or in a closing position, and only one track of one rocker being aligned with one track of the other rocker when the rockers are in the opening and closing position respectively, whereby the doors or window sashes may both extend in the plane of the frame to obstruct the same or be practically coextensive in the direction of their sliding movement and offset transversely of this direction.
