摘要： A hose assembly and method of making the same are provided, the hose assembly having a first fluid passage arrangement therein for conveying a volatile liquid in one direction to a container and a second fluid passage arrangement therein for returning the vapors of the volatile liquid from the container, the assembly comprising a flexible inner hose unit having an outer peripheral surface and defining the first fluid passage arrangement therein, and a flexible outer hose unit having an inner peripheral surface and being disposed around the inner hose unit, the inner peripheral surface of the outer hose unit and the outer peripheral surface of the inner hose unit defining the second fluid passage arrangement therebetween, the inner hose unit having a Venturi section therein that tends to remove liquid from a certain area of the second fluid passage arrangement, the inner hose unit having adjacent intermediate ends, the Venturi section having opposed ends respectively interconnected to the ends of the inner hose unit to provide the first fluid passage arrangement therewith, the improvement wherein the inner hose unit comprises a plurality of separate inner hoses extending in the one direction to one side of the Venturi section and a single inner hose extending away from the other side of the Venturi section in the one direction.

摘要： A method of making a belt tensioner system, in which the system comprises a support unit, an endless transmission belt construction carried by the support unit and arranged to move in an endless path, an arm pivotally mounted to the support unit, a pulley rotatably carried by the arm and being in engagement with the belt construction, and an actuator carried by the support unit and having opposed ends is provided. The actuator has a movable piston projecting out of one of the opposed ends thereof and being in engagement with the arm to pivot the arm in a direction to urge the pulley into the belt construction as the piston is extended outwardly from the one end of the actuator, the other of the opposed ends of the actuator being pivotally mounted to the support unit whereby the actuator pivots relative to the support unit as the piston thereof extends and retracts at the one end thereof.

摘要： The present invention relates to a plastic abrasion resistant protective sleeve for covering a radiator hose. The sleeve of the invention has a corrugated external surface comprising a plurality of projections and troughs formed in said sleeve. The projections are substantially evenly distributed and have a substantially uniform size. The sleeve has a slit along its longitudinal axis which provides for easy application to or removal from the hose, and is made of plastic that is substantially unaffected by high temperatures. A method of using said protective sleeve for protecting a radiator hose from abrasion also is provided.

摘要： A fluid coupling for a conduit which features a quick connect-disconnect construction between first and second coupling members. The first coupling member is connected to the conduit and is generally cylindrical, having a main portion and a reduced diameter portion. Peripheral grooves on the reduced portion contain sealing rings which form a fluid-tight seal with a second coupling member that fits over the first member, the sealing rings contacting an internal bore. The principal seal is provided by a resilient O-Ring which is located in the groove located at the intersection of a wall that intersects the reduced diameter portion of the first coupling member. This contacts a shoulder formed on a wall which intersects part of the bore of the second coupling member. This provides both axial and radial compression between the coupling members. The second peripheral groove is spaced from the first groove and contains another O-Ring as well as a fluoroelastomeric backup ring to enhance the seal. The two coupling members are interfitted and locked together by means of a U-shaped retaining pins that has legs inserted into opposing peripheral grooves on the main body portion of the first coupling member and the base of the second member.
